GATEFOLD SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The gatefold sleeve has the slightest of storage wear to the bottom edges. The print inside and out of the gatefold have very few marks and these are very light and hardly noticeable. The sleeve is clean, free of writing and has only one slight crease that is found adjacent to the spine on the front of the gatefold. The record has been housed within a plastic protective sleeve for many years, with the vinyl stored out of the gatefold in an anti-static sleeve. The black semi matt Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd sleeve has a sealed edge and original dark grey sticker to front top right hand-side. Both original stickers are unused and retain the look of being new. The vinyl was issued with a plain white inner sleeve; there are many variants of inner issued with this album, but this plain one is correct for the albums dating with its A3/B3 Mother & Stampers codes. Original stickers, posters and superb sleeve. EXCELLENT

INSERT CONDITION:..

Both posters are in brilliant crease free condition and only opened today for photographing since the album was first new. Both stickers are also crease free, and have the white crack back still in place. I would consider both to very close the condition as when new so all grade as NEAR MINT 

INNER SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The correct for this issue inner sleeve has slight yellowing from age, however is still in excellent overall condition and without any tears or major creasing grades easily EXCELLENT  

THE VINYL CONDITION:..

Visually the vinyl surfaces are clean, groove channels are clear of dust and debris. Viewing under powerful spot lamp just two very faint sleeve removal wisp line are noted and one short surface line from sleeve removal on side 2, this is 3/8" or 1cm long and just on the surface and clearly would have no impact on the audio but is notable. Visually the vinyl and its spindle line free has the appearance of limited play and grades easily EXCELLENT ++  

AUDIO QUALITY:..

Audio on both sides is strong clean sounding, and with brilliant sound separation on all tracks to both sides. Brief faint static is noted at intro as is expected and found on vinyl. Some light brief static tics are noted during the intro of the track Us and Them, these are short lived. No background noise, clicks, sticks or jumps are found. The audio of this A3/B3 pressing is brilliant throughout, without any distortion from over playing. A clean sound throughout grades this copy of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon audio quality as

The Audio quality has been play graded using my Michell Engineering turntable with high quality MC cartridge.

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing

I only use quality packing boxes with stiffeners, and all records are sent within new protective sleeves. Their cover and inner sleeve are packed separately, and stiffened as required to prevent crushing. Sealed within plastic sleeves to prevent moisture issues during shipping, every care is taken.
