Another from my personal collection. 1st UK pressing Pink Floyd 'Dark Side Of The Moon' This would be the early 3rd issue variation with thicker original tye of vinyl compared to later pressings. This is one of the most difficult albums to find with near perfect audio. There are many quiet sections during the play of this album and are notorious for problems. This vinyl and audio is graded Very Near Mint throughout! This is complete with the original CrackBack Fastrint stickers and Both posters neither have ever been used or even opened prior to this listing. Extremely rare and sought after by avid Pink Floyd Audiophiles out there! I have not heard a better sounding vinyl, absolutely top stunning separation and a real deep bassey feel that can not be found like this on any other format in my opinion. One of the cleanest sounding copies that I have heard!

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released in March 1973. It built on ideas explored in the band's earlier recordings and live shows, but lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterised their work following the departure in 1968 of founder member, principal composer, and lyricist, Syd Barrett. The Dark Side of the Moon's themes include conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett's deteriorating mental state.
Developed during live performances, an early version of the suite was premiered several months before studio recording began; new material was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at Abbey Road Studios in London. The group used some of the most advanced recording techniques of the time, including multitrack recording and tape loops.
Analogue synthesizers were given prominence in several tracks, and a series of recorded interviews with the band's road crew and others provided the philosophical quotations used throughout. Engineer Alan Parsons was directly responsible for some of the most notable sonic aspects of the album as well as the recruitment of non-lexical performer Clare Torry.
The album's iconic sleeve, designed by Storm Thorgerson, features a prism that represents the band's stage lighting, the record's lyrical themes, and keyboardist Richard Wright's request for a "simple and bold" design.
The Dark Side of the Moon was an immediate success, topping the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart for one week.
It subsequently remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988. With an estimated 50 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd's most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling albums worldwide.
It has twice been remastered and re-released, and has been covered in its entirety by several other acts. It spawned two singles, "Money" and "Time". In addition to its commercial success, The Dark Side of the Moon is one of Pink Floyd's most popular albums among fans and critics, and is frequently ranked as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Following the release of Meddle in 1971, the band assembled for an upcoming tour of Britain, Japan, and the United States in December of that year. Rehearsing in Broadhurst Gardens in London, there was the looming prospect of a new album, although their priority at that time was the creation of new material.
In a band meeting at drummer Nick Mason's home in Camden, bassist Roger Waters proposed that a new album could form part of the tour. Waters' idea was for an album that dealt with things that "make people mad", focusing on the pressures faced by the band during their arduous lifestyle, and dealing with the apparent mental problems suffered by former band member Syd Barrett. The band had explored a similar idea with 1969's The Man and The Journey.

The original 1st issue custom Harvest labels Amaizingly I can't see any spider marks or spidering around the spindle hole at all, Little if No spindle ware the hole is perfectly round. There is slight cracking around the spindle hole side one only. This has only been played two times by me ever. very (very) rare like this!
The vinyl.
The vinyl is absolutely superbe on initial visual inspection the playing surface looks like new and still retains its sheen from new! There is no warping and the vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable. (please note this vinyl has only ever been played two times by me ever! There are certainly no signs of grooveware or distortion! I can't see any marks or needle scratches on the playing surface, importantly no marks that would cause any clicks ticks or pops that I heard even at ultra mega loud volume. Any marks that could possibly be seen would be surface sleeve removal only (To be honest I find it hard to see any at all)
The Audio Quality
I have played this through track for track at very loud volume four times prior to this listing on a top system. The audio quality will blow you away this nearly shook the house down very rich vibrant and cristal clear one of the best sounding copies that I have heard of this pressing! The audio on this pressing in my opinion is as good as it gets, even in between tracks there is extremely minimal noise. This plays as new in my opinion! I would class myself as highly critical and this is a truly exceptional sounding vinyl and the 1st by this awesome band ''Pink Floyd''! Please check my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!
Please note! That I always make this disclaimer! That although I never heard any clicks or pops during the play of this record please allow for the odd isolated static crackle tick only, certainly not consistant throughout the audio, Please remember this is a genuine 30 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 30 year old system! A constant clean before each play because this vinyl has been laying dormant in a case for over 30 years,, a build up of dirt and dust in the grooves cause static/ticks. A constant clean before each play will reduce this and enhance the audio quality. Please note! That detrit was seen on the playing surface after play. Cleaning will make this sound even better!The cover.
This is the original UK issue (non) laminated Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover being primarily black rubbing on these early covers are difficult to prevent. Any storage wear is very minor in my opinion. There are no splits or tears and no real rubbing to talk of that I can see. I am looking for creases but I can't see any worth to mention at all. Minor light surface wear fading with age indents or light scuffs can be noticed on the face of the cover if you look for them but you have to look to notice in my opinion. (see photos) The spine is perfectly square with little if no rubbing. Superb condition of this original cover which is nearly 30 years old always stored in a sleeve separated from the vinyl for protection has kept this sleeve looking like this! No real ring wear worth to mention amazingly rare. I would grade the cover at excellent to excellent plus!

The Posters
Both posters are usused and original light fading/foxing with age only noticed at the back never been used at all!
These are the original "Crackback" stickers both have a crease on the right from being left in the cover but again both have never been used and are the originals.
