Description

On offer here is an early press of The Dark Side Of The Moon.  Released in 1973 on the Harvest label (SHVL 804) the vinyl is in excellent condition for its age.    The matrix numbers are A5/B5 and stampers 5 / GHG and 4 / GHH
Imprinted on the label is "The Gramophone Company Limited" denoting an early press.  There are a few faint hairlines but I would say these are mainly from when the record has been removed from the sleeve.  There are no deep scratches at all and for 41 years old it is certainly one of the better ones I have seen, overall a very clean copy.
The Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover is in excellent condition.  There is some wear as you would expect with some light creasing and a small scrape type mark on the front cover.  There is slight rubbing on the bottom two corners though overall this is a very clean copy for such an early press.  The colours still shine brilliantly and it still retains a strong thick spine.  The original sticker is still on the cover as you can see. 
The posters are in great condition and have obviously been kept inside the gatefold for most of their life!  No marks or pin pricks and no damp spots whatsoever.  The stickers are the original "cackback/fastprint" ones and are in excellent condition with just a little creasing.

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS.  THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
