The Dark Side of the Moon (white vinyl - German - Limited Edition)
This 2nd issue limited edition white vinyl LP was released in Germany on Harvest Records. The gatefold was printed in Germany although the record was actually made in Holland. The posters and stickers were never included with this release.
I have owned a few of these white vinyl releases in my time and they are renown for not playing well. This one has stood the test of time very well and whilst not perfect the audio plays to a very good standard.

Visual grading
Overall the white vinyl is very clean with only a few faint hairlines and a couple of more obvious ones on Side Two. There are no deep scratches. There is spindle wear so has been played a number of times but for its age this vinyl remains in excellent condition.
Play grading
There is a little background noise and a few light clicks during the 'Speak To Me' intro but this soon dissipates. Whilst 'Breathe' plays with excellent sound there are about 10 light clicks but they are very much in the background. 'On The Run' is a real highlight and has no interference at all. There is just very low level static on the 'Time' intro, barely worth mentioning really and the clocks then reverberate superbly! The track plays very well with only a little static and a couple of light clicks. 'The Great Gig...' plays with excellent clarity with only a light static very much in the background. Considering how quiet much of the track is there are many sections that play superbly well with only one click at the end.
'Money' on Side Two has a couple of clicks at the start and then the remainder has wonderful sound. It plays loud and clearly and with great resonance that is further improved by the deep bass sound. The intro to 'Us And Them' has some background crackle but is not intrusive. It then plays very clearly with hardly any other background interference, an excellent listen. The three remaining tracks have excellent audio with only some low level static here and there and some distortion towards the end of 'Eclipse'. Do not let this put you off - I am detailed in my grading and for a very collectible album the audio is of an excellent standard for coloured vinyl.
Gatefold cover
The original EMI ELectrola gatefold has minor shelf but overall has maintained its condition very well. The glossy front cover has a few small creases around the edges and one small mark just below the triangle. The edges and spine are in superb condition with no rubbing and the corners also remain in great shape. The inside of the gatefold is in excellent condition with only minor spotting near the bottom edges. The back cover again has some light creasing and ringwear but remains unmarked. The catalogue number can be seen on the top right and also on the spine.
Inner sleeve
The original black die-cut inner sleeve remains in great shape with no splits or tears just some minor creasing.
Labels
They are in excellent condition with a couple of very small scuff type marks on Side Two.
