PINK FLOYD - THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

1973 UK 2nd pressing complete with near mint vinyl, unused original posters and stickers, exquisite (and almost impossible to find now) midnight blue gatefold sleeve and flawless stereo sound quality throughout - spine tingling!

Year/Label : 1973 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 804 Matrix numbers : SHVL 804 A-3, SHVL 804 B-2 Stampers :  3 GOR  / 3 RRM
This LP (along with Pink Floyd/Wish You Were, also advertised on ebay) were given to me by a friend who claimed that neither LP had ever been played. I cannot prove that, of course, but looking carefully at the condition of each, and playing each LP myself just the once to witness first hand the flawless audio quality, strongly suggests that to be the case. The outstanding condition of the accompanying outer/inner sleeves and any other components also supports this claim.
Near mint (NM) condition vinyl - in normal daylight each side of the vinyl comes across as completely unmarked and even with very close inspection under a bright light I am unable to detect even a wispiest of wispy single hairline. Perhaps very small and extremely faint paper graze on side 2 but to all intents and purposes perfect!  Similarly, each label is in near mint (NM) condition - pristine, with not even a single identifiable rogue spindle trail.  Clearly this is a record that has been played once or twice at most and meticulously looked after.  Excellent plus (EX+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve - firm edges with just a few small and very light scuff marks on the bottom reverse side edge (including a 1.5cm continuous scuff adjacent to the bottom right corner) and a couple of barely discernible tiny "nicks" on the top edge, a rigid spine with no scuffs or "nicks", perfectly defined right angled corners with just a little rubbing and a tiny compression on the bottom right corner, firm opening edges with no fraying, no creasing, no unwanted writing, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. The inside of the gatefold is difficult to fault - about as perfect as the day this record was originally bought - amazing! The only blemishes (far too strong a word) are x3 non-obvious surface crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the spine - one on the front side and two on the reverse side, and just the hint of a very faint 3cm surface crinkle towards the front-side top right corner - each very trivial. I should also add that this copy has the rarer UK 1st press midnight blue "hue" - not always easy to determine whether it is present or not but in my photos I have included a photo of this copy and a slightly later black pressing where the difference can be clearly seen. In summary outstanding!  Both light matt posters (not super glossy and super smooth as per later pressings) remain in unused near mint (NM) condition.  The two 1st press "PERMANENT" stickers are also in similarly unused condition - one is perfect and the other is near perfect with just the hint of a small 3cm surface crease in one corner.  Truly flawless, near mint (NM) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, clicks (except for x3 very light clicks diring the side 1 run-off - nothing really but I'm sure a clean would remedy) or background crackle - wonderful sound quality comprising great tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout. Perfect! Comes with poly-lined black inner sleeve with "PATENT No..." horizontal text, with no tears or seam splits or age discolouration, and barely any creasing at all.  Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    Stunning! Try finding a UK 2nd pressing of this prog masterpiece in condition as truly wonderful as this - you'll spend a long time searching!
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");

for continental Europe £12 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £18 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
