PINK FLOYD - THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
1973 UK 2nd pressing complete with unused posters and stickers, and wonderful stereo sound quality throughout
Year/Label : 1973 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 804 Matrix numbers : SHVL 804 A-3, SHVL 804 B-2 Stampers : 1 GHG / 4 GMHExcellent (EX) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with close scrutiny under a bright light that a few very wispy hairlines and extremely fine paper scuff lines come into view on both sides - obviously nothing feelable and all appearing to be purely superficial except for one tiny, tiny non-feelable "nick" towards the beginning of B1 which does result in x4 very, very light clicks towards the beginning of that same track. The labels are in excellent (EX) condition also - just a couple of small and barely discernible faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label along with a small manufacturing tear towards the bottom of the side 2 label (see photo). Clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly and well looked after. A solid excellent (EX) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve -firm edges devoid of any scuffing, a rigid and unmarked spine, perfectly defined right angled corners with no rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. There are just a couple of non-obvious very light handling/storage marks on the front and reverse side - very trivial. Hard to believe that this gatefold is over 50 years of age! Both posters are unused and in excellent plus condition with no tears, blue tac residue or pin holes; and similarly for the two stickers (one is FasPrint" the other is "CRACKBACK") which are again unused and in "as new" condition. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction with brilliant sound quality throughout. Not quite perfect though...there are the aformentioned x4very light clicks towards the beginning of "Money", and on "Us And Them" there is some very faint rotational clicking lasting for about 30 seconds early into the track and then another 10 seconds a little later (even with close scrutiny under a bright light I can find no obvious cause) - nothing to spoil what remains a great listen, however. Comes with original poly-lined black inner sleeve with correct "PATENT Nos..." and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" horizontal text, with no tears and just a little very mild creasing towards the corners and a single 2cm split in the middle of the left side edge. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly excellent condition copy of this 1973 UK 2nd press Pink Floyd classic becoming increasingly hard to find and continuing to increase in value.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
