Description
Superb copy of this French DC13 pressing of DSOTM on clear vinyl. From the 1978 Disque En Couleur series which also saw a sister issue on blue vinyl. Comes with the full house of postcards and posters.
Like the original 1973 UK pressing, this gatefold sleeve has one closed side and one open (the right). It has the original SHVL 804 album number plus Garrod & Lofthouse name inside so is either a UK issue supplied with the postcards and posters to EMI France or made in France from a master; my guess is the former. At any rate it's in great shape and I can't say much wrong about it; has a tad of corner rub so say 9 out of 10 for condition.
The two postcards are very clean and both posters have never seen a wall or door. The fresh looking black inner sleeve has a polythene liner which has protected the vinyl superbly. So all get 9/10 solely in deference to their age.
Both labels on the record are very nice. At the centre holes it looks like the 115g disc has had a few spins only. It's flat and shiny. Always hard to gauge the condition of clear vinyl but under the unforgiving table lamp it looks great. As such we can chalk up another 9/10.
