*Genuine 2nd pressings of The Dark Side Of The Moon have the 'Gramophone Co Ltd' text printed on the rim of the label + 'World Copyrights' and are virtually the same as the 1st pressings with the famous solid blue triangle labels. They have the same midnight blue sleeves, permanent stickers and black inners. These pressings were first released in April 1973 (one month after the 'solid blues') and had only a limited run before the label text was changed to 'EMI Records' around about October 1973. The latter pressings are much more common than this.

CONDITION REPORT & PHOTO GALLERY AUDIO Overall graded as EXCELLENT; this has been completely play graded from start to finish and both sides played through nicely with a bright clear audio; a lovely crisp sound. Occasional light background noise + some static during part of the 'Time' intro and during the early part of 'Great Gig In The Sky'. This was a nice listen.
The record is very clean indeed, but it is possible that a professional clean may well eliminate some or all of the static noise. 
VINYL (VISUAL): EXCELLENT;  the vinyl retains a lovely shine and looks great. There are some wispy hairlines and the odd light small superficial mark noticeable, but overall it looks very nice. 
LABELS: Both look fine with some odd small light marks and a touch of spindle tracing. No tears, scuffs or writing.  
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT(-); the fragile gatefold sleeve is in nice condition. Some ring and shelf wear to the exterior + some small indentation marks. Very minimal creasing. A little scuffing to the bottom edges and some corner bumping. The interior centrefold looks great. A very presentable example indeed; looks good.
INNER: EXCELLENT; the inner looks great. The poly-lining is still completely intact. Just minor creasing.
STICKERS: Both are completely unused. The brown one is NEAR MINT. The yellow one shows signs of age but looks more than presentable. Great.
POSTERS: NEAR MINT; both are completely unused and show just minor signs of handling. The pyramids poster has a mark to the top right corner but this appears to be a printing error. Superb.

GRADING

Unless otherwise stated, all of my records have been play tested before listing using a Rega P3-24 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge & stylus. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself. 

 Please take confidence from the fact that I have been a collector myself for over 20 years (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know only too well how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.

I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.

I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.

POSTAGE / SHIPPING

I post worldwide and pack all records in custom made (stiff) card mailers and add extra packaging inside to ensure a safe delivery. I will provide a protective polythene sleeve and the record and inner will be removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. I want your record to get to you in the condition that it was when it left me.

For any records that come with printed inner sleeves, I will also provide an additional plain inner.

As a general rule, shipping will be discounted ie. I lose money on the costs of buying my packaging. I do not profit from this; please remember that my costs are not simply those shown on the stamp!

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
