As I am sure you will know, there are about 12 million(!) different pressings/versions of this album and I am not even going to attempt to claim any knowledge as I have to confess to not being much of a Floyd fan (I am selling this on behalf of a friend). I believe this A5/B5 pressing is an early example (as it also comes with both posters and both stickers) and certainly is not a more recent reissue. Having done a little research, I THINK this might be the 4th issue 'variant' from 1974, but don't quote me on that! I have listed as much info. as I am able (above, under 'other details') which I hope will help you to decide if this is the one you are after. Having said that, no doubt I have missed some really important details, so if you are in any doubt, please feel free to ask me and I'll do my best to help.

CONDITION -
COVER - the sleeve has been stored in a thick PVC cover over the years and is in about VG condition with generally minor signs of age, as follows; there is slight storage record-shaped impression to sleeve rear, minor rubbing here and there to unlaminated boards, a couple of thumb/handling signs to rear (one by right edge of triangle, one just to left of bottom of triangle), 4 small lines/crinkles by the spine. Also a few very small, faint lines/impressions to front board. All in all, I would say some signs of age but ageing/wear etc. is generally fairly minor - please see all pictures above.
STICKERS - both stickers are unpeeled and unused - the predominantly yellow/pale blue one has a bend/crease in top left area, the buff/blue one has a similar one to right edge/bottom right area - both were stored inside the sleeve and have clearly got into the spine area, and when the sleeve was closed, these were trapped in the spine, causing these bends/creases. Again see pictures above.
POSTERS - the 'band' poster is VG, with some minor handling signs, but has no pin holes or blu-tac stains and has obviously not been on a wall, but stored in the cover. The 'pyramids' poster is similar, again with some small handling signs, but again has no pin holes or blu-tac stains and again has obviously not been on a wall, but stored in the cover as well.
RECORD - viewed under a bright halogen bulb, both sides have a number of light, very light and hairline surface marks (and also 'spiders web' in-and-out of sleeve type surface marks) on the top surface of the vinyl only. Uunsure why as there are only a few spindle traces to each label by the centre hole, suggesting that this has not been heavily played.
There are also a few other slightly more visually noticeable surface marks, as follows (note that all are light though and all are non-feelable); Side 1 - middle of track 1 about 11 o'clock, middle of track 1 (very light) about 12 o'clock, middle of track 2 (very lght) about 2 o'clock, start of track 4 (very light) about 6 o'clock, end of track 1 (small and v. light) about 6-7 o'clock; Side 2 - track 2 (very light) about 3 o'clock, end of track 2 (very small/light) about 3-4 o'clock, 2nd half of track 2 (diagonal) about 3-4 o'clock, end of track 2 & beginning of track 3 about 6 o'clock, VERY small scuff at start of track 4 about 6 o'clock.
Once again, note that these are the visually a bit more obvious marks that I can see (ie easier to spot than the hairlines) but NONE are feelable. Also, my eyes aren't what they were (same goes for the rest of me!) so apologies if I have missed anything but I have tried to be honest and written what I see. As I can find NO deep or feelable marks or scratches, I would expect the record to play through just fine, but would also expect some surface noise/crackle here and there and maybe also the odd 'pop'.

UK and overseas buyers - please note that I will only send fully tracked and insured within the UK and either by Tracked & Signed For service or by eBay's Global Shipping Programme overseas - also note that any fees which may be charged by ebay are imposed by them entirely and any customs fees/import duties or taxes are down to the laws of your country, not me, and are to be paid by the buyer - I have no say or influence as to how much any further costs, if any, may be and will not mark as a 'gift' or put a lower price on the customs declaration, sorry! If in any doubt, please investigate if there will be any further costs to you BEFORE bidding.

Please see all pictures above and if you have any questions or need any more info., don't hesitate to get in touch.

Cover and labels are as seen in the pictures above (actual item shown) - see below for record grading, which obviously applies to records which have been played ONLY!

Please note that all vinyl is visually graded under a bright halogen bulb - it is only play-graded if specifically stated.

POSTAGE AND PACKING

UK - £4.95 by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or £5.95 by Royal Mail Tracked 24. For any other 'Signed For' services, please ask BEFORE paying - thanks.
ELSEWHERE - please select the 'Postage & Payments' tab, then choose your country from the drop-down menu and click on 'get rates'.

VINYL GRADING

NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.

MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

*Important* - the ONLY countries I will send to by uninsured mail are as follows: -

  • UK.
  • Europe (EU countries ONLY and Norway).
  • USA and Canada.
  • Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the 'International Signed For' option at checkout - thanks!

Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is an extra £1.10 for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or an extra £5.30 for overseas buyers to cover 'International Signed For'.
