So here we have Floyds most iconic title. "The Dark Side of The Moon". UK 1st quadrophonic pressing with both posters and postcard/stickers present. A hard to find version in any condition, but this one is a stunner.

  • Black cover is in lovely condition, always stored in protective polythene cover. No shelf-wear at all and retains almost an excellent look. To be picky, there is some extremely light random creasing, a corner to the rear with some old sticker residue and some very small non-feelable marks which appear to have been touched in with a marker pen (as seen in photo) and can only really be seen in angled light (since I took the photos I have managed to clean these areas with a special cleaning solution and am happy to report that the impact of the marker has been greatly reduced). A really solid and very acceptable example. Graded as very good plus (VG+).
  • Vinyl is in fantastic shape. It has a just pressed deep black sheen. The only mark of any kind I can see is a really tiny and light mark at the end of "The great gig in the sky" which you struggle to see, and has no effect on sound quality at all. The matrix numbers are A2 / B1, very early. Side one mother / stamper is 1G (impossible to find an earlier combination. This IS the earliest). Side two mother / stamper combination is 2GM, another very early set. The whole album plays like a dream with no issues that are worthy of note. Stunning. Graded as visually excellent plus (Ex+) and aurally excellent plus (EX+).
  • Both posters are in great shape without damage, just some light creasing. Graded as excellent.
  • Both sticker/postcards are present. The darker one is near pristine and the lighter one has a crease on its top edge from being caught in the gatefold cover. Graded as excellent plus and excellent (EX+) and (EX).
So all in all a really lovely copy and would grace any collection in my view. I don't think a better copy is out there anywhere and I would rate this as a final upgrade, it's that good.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me!
I accept returns if I am notified immediately upon you receiving the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
