Please do not be put off by my lack of feedback ratings on this Ebay account. I have been selling vinyl for over 20 years, but have just started using this account as a secondary account which I will use to sell items for others. My other account is used by members of my family to buy stuff, so if I need something secret, presents, gifts etc I use this account. Regular buyers of vinyl records may recognise my other account, which has my username as floyd67-10.
I have had to relist this item as the previous winner decided after the sale that Ebays "Global Shipping Programme" was too expensive, so refused to pay!

For sale here is a 2nd UK pressing of Pink Floyd most iconic album "Dark side of the moon". The matrix numbers are A3 / B2 and has "The Gramophone Co Ltd" text around the rim. Housed in the first issue dark blue sleeve with the poly lined black inner sleeve with the patent and cat numbers printed in silver/grey on the bottom edge as per first issue. This album is in lovely all round condition as I will describe below.
From a collection of a friend who has decided he wants to free up some space in his cupboards from the 2000 plus albums he currently owns. I have sifted through some of them and currently am concentrating on the Pink Floyd section. My friend is a bit of a Floyd fanatic and bought most of his albums in the week of release, if not day of release. I am currently selling a collection of 11 Floyd albums here (please check them out) and this includes the first UK press of "Dark side". This second press was used as his playing copy after he had played his original several times and was actually only bought about 3 months after original release date. Pressed in huge numbers to cope with the demand, EMI quickly changed the labels from solid blue triangle to a blue edged triangle with black middle as nobody could read the original text, which was silver print. The second pressing A3/ B2 was pressed in far more limited numbers, so is actually MUCH more rare than the A2 / B2, though possibly not quite as desirable.
Anyway, history lesson over and down to the nitty-gritty.
The cover is the midnight blue colour, exactly the same as the first press cover. The front is almost perfect. The inside of the gatefold is also faultless. Top edge has almost no wear, bottom edge has light shelf-wear in parts. There is some light colour loss on the lead corners. The spine has very light wear. The only part with any issue of note is the rear. The top left corner has some paper loss where a sticker has been removed and is shown in close up in the photos. My old friend has unfortunately put his name on the back in black biro. I did not even see this until I came to write up the description and tilted the cover to the light. In normal circumstances you just do not see it at all. Strictly to record collector guidelines this grades VG+.
The inner sleeve is, as already noted, the original black poly lined, same as supplied with the first pressing. It has some creasing and the polythene inner is a little "baggy", but still a solid example and grades VG+.
Both posters are unused with just the usual fold creases. The pyramid poster has the wide border as per first issue, not the narrow border from later copies. No pin holes, tape marks etc etc. Graded as Ex.
The postcard/stickers are in great shape. The brown one is pretty perfect and I grade as Ex+. The yellow one has a light crease on one corner from being caught in the hinge of the gatefold cover. This one grades as Ex.
Now for the vinyl. Still a lovely looking copy visually. Retains a nice black sheen. There is some light sleeve removal marks evident in strong angled light. Labels have a little spotting. Mother/stamper combinations are.... side 1  1/GMM,  side2   3/GLP
PLAY-GRADE:- The opening few seconds to both sides has some nominal light background as most vinyl does. The only thing of note is on the track "Money". If you look at my photos I have tried to capture the small white mark on the vinyl. This causes a soft click for 6 revolutions of the disc. Aside from this the album plays beautifully. The clarity and detail is superb. I had an amusing hour with my wife doing a blindfold test against a first press copy. I got 6/10 guesses correct playing track against track, and to be honest, I was guessing. There is so little if any difference in sound quality. I would grade visually as Ex-, and on listening, the audio quality as Ex. A top copy.

Unfortunately Royal Mail have just increased their prices YET again! I do not profit on postage costs. My packaging is absolutely second to none, and will be reinforced to hell, so be assured it will reach you just fine. Postage overseas will be through the Global Shipping Programme.
