I first listed this last week (29/03/2021) but had  to end the auction early as I’d specified UK buyers only but was swamped by  bids from elsewhere. After some research I have excluded such bids via my  dashboards & am re-listing!  Please  accept my apologies for any confusion! Now back to Pink Floyd ...   

This is a ‘solid blue pyramid’ enthusiasts-only copy of Dark Side of the Moon bought by me on its’ first day of issue in 1973,stored in a protective sleeve and rarely handled. All posters, stickers &black (polythene lined) inner sleeve are totally original & have rarely  been out of the virtually perfect gatefold cover (see the photos).

I don’t show a grading of either the record or  sleeve as I’m not an expert qualified to give one but look at the photos, judge  for yourself & ask any questions you want.

The record has no scratches, hairline or otherwise,and sounds as it did on the day it was bought with all the distinctive character  of vinyl. There is  a ‘tick’ for about 6 revolutions of the record at 3min 50secs into the track‘Us & Them’. I can see no corresponding mark on the vinyl & believe it  was there when I bought it. Also because the record was stored in its original polythene  lined sleeve for most of the last 48 years it has some surface marking where it  has been in prolonged contact with the polythene; this can be seen if you look  at it in very bright light & at just the right angle (see photo) but it  doesn’t affect the play quality. The record is now stored in a rice-paper  sleeve which is kinder to the vinyl (the original sleeve is included in the  sale).

If you look very carefully at the photos you’ll  notice that the stickers have some small creases to the bottom right hand  corner from being snagged, at some stage, at the bottom of the gatefold. I  mention this for the sake of total accuracy rather than it being a material  issue.

I’m selling because I’m in the process of  down-sizing so this is a genuine sale by a private seller (see my feedback). I  doubt you’ll ever find a better copy of this iconic album ... happy bidding!
