For sale here is Pink Floyds most iconic album originally from 1973, "The dark side of the moon". This is a genuine 1st UK pressing with A2 / B2 matrices, solid blue triangle labels, and both posters and stickers. The cover is the original dark blue tinged edition.

Also included in the auction are both original posters and both original stickers. This is a really clean example that plays through with no worrying issues. Although not in mint condition, it has stood the test of time very well and is a great listen. I have fully play-graded the vinyl, results are below.
Included in this sale is a copy of the 50th anniversary live album which is still sealed in the original manufacturers shrink-wrap. I have also added a brand new coaster, a sticker of the iconic solid blue label and  an extra rectangular hype card, all can be viewed in the comprehensive photographs.
The cover is the earliest midnight blue tinged version, as opposed to later black. The inner sleeve is the original black with grey text. Both posters are the semi glossed early versions, and the postcard/stickers are crack-back with brown diagonal markings to the rear. Both posters and stickers are in superb condition. Obviously the live album is still sealed, so mint.
This is a totally genuine copy, with no additions from later pressings. All 100% original and genuine.

The cover is quite exceptional for its age. Midnight blue in colour, it exhibits no issues of concern. There is no shelf wear to any edge, but a tiny rub mark to the rear. Corners are sharp and leading edges fine. Hopefully the photos show all this up well. As covers go, this very easily gets an excellent grading, if not better.
The inner sleeve is the black original with "Made in Great Britain" text and the patent number. All in the correct places and coloured grey. Inner sleeve has minor wrinkling, but poly-liner is fully attached. There are no slits to mention. Inner sleeve grades as a solid VG+.
Both posters are in great original condition and grade Ex.
Both postcard/stickers are the original pair with the brown diagonal lines to the rear. Both grade a strong Ex.

The vinyl visually is exceptionally clean. There are only a couple of tiny non-feelable marks that do not affect the lovely audio reproduction. The vinyl retains its rich black lustre and really gleams. Superb copy visually.

Referring to my play-grading notebook, I made the following comments. Side one (the tricky heartbeat opening) plays well with just a very small amount of background surface noise. Tracks 2 and 3 are faultless. There is a light "tick" during the segue between tracks 3 and 4. Track 4 plays great, and track 5 has 2 dust "pops" at the start and an isolated dust "pop" during the track. This makes it sound far worse than it actually sounds. I am just being very picky with my grading. Side one plays a comfortable VG+. Side 2 has light background noise on the run-in. Track 2 has 3 light ticks part way through, then 10 light ticks nearer the end. Tracks 3,4 and 5 play just about perfectly. There is so very little to stop grading the whole album as excellent, but as I am grading strictly (very), so side 2 also grades a strong VG+. I am surer the winner will be delighted with the album, and even happier that I have graded it harshly. Overall, this album has almost defied time. It looks and sounds great.
