I will be listing quite a large number of rare Pink Floyd albums over the coming days and weeks. Why not add me as a favourite seller and get informed automatically when new items are listed.
For sale here is Pink Floyds most iconic album originally from 1973, "The dark side of the moon". This is a very early UK (re)pressing with A5 / B4 matrices.

Also included in the auction are both original posters and both original stickers.
The story behind this album is as follows. When I got it many years ago, both labels were quite badly damaged and impossible to read. I have stuck some solid blue labels on it. These are not full size (do not cover the entire old label, would probably fit a 45rpm single). Still makes a very attractive album out of it though.
The cover has some light shelf-wear to the bottom edge. The spine and top edges are excellent. There is some fading to the black front surface and the rear has a disc impression forming and a couple of scuffs. The larger 68mm hype sticker is present and in good order. Overall this is a very strong example for its age and grades VG+.
The inner sleeve is white and displays "care of your record" text, Made in Great Britain and the patent number. This is totally original to the album. This is a very clean example without damage and grades VG+.
Both posters are in great original condition and grade Ex.
Both postcard/stickers have been caught in the cover hinge during their life, so have mild creasing. These are the original pair with the brown diagonal lines to the rear. Both grade a strong VG+.
The labels, as previously described, are non-original, with some inked in blemishes showing around the outside of the new labels.
The vinyl visually really is really clean. There is just one mark near the start of side 1. This cannot be felt, purely cosmetic. There are no other marks that really warrant mentioning. Visually this grades at least VG+.
Fully play-graded as below.
Referring to my play-grading notebook, I made the following comments. Some light "rustle" to the start of side one. A solitary light click at the end of track 3 with a spot of crackle. A couple of "dust pops" at the start of track 5 (these usually either play out or clean out). Side 1 grades VG+. Side two plays well. A couple of light clicks on track 2 and just the odd hint of surface noise in the quietest sections. Side 2 also grades VG+. These are my notes and gradings based on my Audio Technica / Kef system.
I am sure the winner will be pleased with it, but I do offer a full return and refund policy if not. An unusual one for the collection, but still plays really well, has very early matrices and the sound quality is very clear and detailed.
Happy to post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Any bids from those countries will be cancelled. Postage within the UK is free, by Royal Mail 48, so delivered in 2 days. If my quoted price is more than the actual cost once I have that figure, I will refund the difference immediately. I do not and will not profit on postage and packing costs.
I have had to put a cost in for overseas postage, so I have added the price for Euro zone delivery.
