Description
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the original release of this album in 1973, Pink Floyd released a special edition copy of it. Pressed on 180 gram clear transparent virgin vinyl with UV printed artwork on the discs depicting the original album artwork.
For sale is a superb copy of that album, still sealed. Pink Floyds iconic "Dark side of the moon".
The UV printed double album is sealed. The photos are of my own personal copy.
I am including some nice extras with this lot.
An (unofficial) copy of the album with solid blue labels. MINT. A limited numbered Royal Mail commemorative stamp sheet. MINT. A premium notebook with prism artwork, still sealed. MINT. I will give a detailed description of each part below, strictly to Record Collector guidelines.
The UV printed double album is 100% sealed and mint. No issues. The album has been pressed on 2 clear vinyl discs, only one side being playable. The idea being that the UV printing is seen through the clear vinyl while on a turntable. It really does look stunning. Please DO NOT try and play the reverse side. There is no sound!!
The very recently pressed and released "solid blue label" Dark side of the moon album is pressed on a dark grey marbled vinyl. Although not sealed, this has never been played. Graded as mint.
The limited edition (numbered) stamp set is an official Royal Mail issue. It contains 10 adjoined first class stamps which were released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the albums release in 1973. The stamps are covered by a clear plastic protective cover to keep them in tip top condition. These are faultless and graded as mint.
The premier notebook is still sealed and mint. The cover (back and front) show artwork from the album. The pages are coloured the same as the refracted light exiting the prism. A great item.
I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past. I have listed the price for UK postage only. If an overseas e-bayer wants this, please contact me before bidding to discuss postal options. I would expect postage within Europe to be around £17, tracked and for the rest of the world around £27. I DO NOT make anything on the postage. I charge the exact cost (often less) that I pay. I DO NOT charge for packing materials and I try to use recycled packing anyway. If the postage cost is less than my quoted figures, I will refund the excess as soon as I have the exact price. I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight polythene outer cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve. All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyls over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing. Please bid with peace of mind that what you see is what you get.
