Description


Here's a killer LP by PINK FLOYD, MEDDLE.  This is an ORIGINAL FIRST GERMAN PRESSING from 1971 on HARVEST Records.  There was only one German Harvest pressing of this in 71, and this is it.  It's an incredible LP, and an essential one in any library.  This is an LP that many now consider Floyd's best.  I find it hard to rank Floyd LPs as they are all great, and quite different.  But this one is amazing at a time that was still primitive with recording technology, they employed some crazy and innovative ways to make sounds.   This copy has a cover that has been handled.  If you look at it from 3 feet away, it looks gorgeous, but closer inspection shows issues;  The gatefold COVER is in very nice condition with a beautiful glossy laminated German cover,  there's a fair amount of small handling including some hairline bends around the edges.  This is a soft German gatefold, so it's inherently prone to this. Also, a corner bend bottom right for about 2" and another bend that emanates from that and goes towards the top about 4" that is not as bad. The back cover has fewer issues with just some handling.  The SPINE shows damage with a lot of the paper either worn or pulled off.  INSIDE GATEFOLD is beautiful with no damage, and a vivid photo of the boys.  The VINYL looks shiny and new with no marks. around the spindle.  It looks MINT and plays a great VG+.  This copy plays great, a beautiful playing copy.  The sound quality on this German pressing will make you forget the US pressing altogether.
