Description
THIS AUCTION IS FOR TWO PINK FLOYD ALBUMS: A VERY RARE LIVE ALBUM RECORDED IN SWITZERLAND IN DECEMBER 1972 WHICH FEATURES A LIVE VERSION OF 'ECHOES' AND LIVE VERSIONS OF FOUR TRACKS FROM THE YET-TO-BE-RELEASED 'DARK SIDE OF THE MOON', PLUS A 1ST UK PRESSING OF MEDDLE.
AS FAR AS I CAN TELL THERE IS ONLY ONE OTHER COPY OF 'LIVE IN MONTREUX' FOR SALE ON EBAY AT THE MOMENT AND IT HAS A STARTING BID OF £180 WITH A BUY IT NOW PRICE OF £270!
ALTHOUGH THE LABEL AND COVER OF THE LIVE ALBUM CALL SIDE TWO 'ONE OF THESE DAYS' IT IS ACTUALLY 'US AND THEM', 'ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE', 'BRAIN DAMAGE' AND 'ECLIPSE'.
THE LIVE ALBUM HAS BEEN PLAYED ONLY ONCE OR TWICE AND IS IN STUNNING NEAR MINT CONDITION.
MEDDLE IS A TRUE 1ST PRESS WITH 1U/1U MATRIXES. THE VINYL GRADES AROUND VERY GOOD. THE COVER IS TEXTURED INSIDE AND OUT AND WOULD ALSO GRADE AROUND VERY GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT HAS TIPPEX INSIDE THE GATEFOLD, ALTHOUGH YOU CAN'T REALLY SEE THIS IS THE PHOTOS.
SO, HERE'S A CHANCE TO GRAB A REAL BARGAIN - A TRUE FIRST PRESSING OF MEDDLE TOGETHER WITH A NEAR MINT EXAMPLE OF A VERY HARD TO FIND PINK FLOYD LIVE ALBUM.
UK Record Collector Grading system Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable. Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
