PINK FLOYD - MEDDLE
1971 UK Harvest SHVL 795 (1U - 1U) 1st pressing.
Very nice EX+ original earliest 'A-1U' & 'B-1U' first uk pressing, with the 'GRAMMOPHONE CO. LTD' label rim text, & the fully textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' gatefold sleeve. Also comes with It's original Harvest records Inner sleeve. This Is a really nice solid 1st press, that plays & sounds almost perfect.
Side 1 has a very nice clean glossy sheen, & all tracks play & sound just about perfect from the very beginning to the very end. There are no bad surface marks, scuffs, or scratches at all, there are just a couple of the lightest very top surface lines that have absolutely no affect on play at all. There are no loud or repeated clicks or pops to be heard, & barely even a trace of static background crackle. Plays beautifully throughout all tracks, with no lessening In the audio quality at all.
Side 2 looks & plays almost the same as Side 1, all apart from a few light / medium background tics, & a tiny amount of light crackle during the very quiet Intro to 'Echoes', the rest of the track / side plays & sounds near perfect, again, with no lessening In the audio quality at all. It would be very difficult to find a vinyl copy of 'Meddle', without at least a tiny amount of background static during 'Echoes', as the track Is some 23 minutes long, & has some very delicate quiet passages.
The original fully textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' gatefold sleeve Is In really superb shape. Very clean Inside & out. There are no signs of edge, spine, or ring wear at all. This fully textured gatefold sleeve actually still looks just about perfect. 50 years old now, & looks as good as the day of print. Really do not think that you will find better.
The original Harvest records advertising Inner sleeve Is In very good condition. Some signs of age & light signs of handling, but there are no rips, or seem splits. Before posting, the vinyl will be placed Inside a new plain white poly-lined Inner sleeve.
I will only send this Item by recorded post. I pack my records very well. I do not use record mailers. I use layers of very strong rigid cardboard. The Item will reach you In the same condition as advertised & pictured.
