Description

I’ve been an eBay member for over 17 years with over 1700 100% positive feedback. This is a relatively new account for music and memorabilia only.

Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks.

PINK FLOYD – MEDDLE – 1st PRESSING – A-1U/B-1U – VG/VG

1st Pressing from November 1971. Textured gatefold sleeve, The Gramophone Company label rim text and matrices: SHVL 795A - 1U & SHVL795B - 1U.

Visually graded as VG, although plays close to EX, due to two surface lines across track 1 side 1 and two surface scuffs on side two (I’ve only managed to photograph one of these, but the other one is no worse). It looks great in natural light, very glossy and clean, a bright light reveals the above mentioned, but not much else, just a few scattered fine lines. Pretty much as expected after 50 years of regular play.

Side one run-in is almost silent, there is an ultra-light crackle during the wind intro, but fine when it plays.

Side two has very light crackle during the run-in, which when listening on headphones can be heard for the first minute, but played at reasonable volume in the room is not really noticeable apart from 3/4 clicks at about 30 seconds, fine after that.

I’ve played it all and despite the very occasional background click, the whole album sounds great with very clear sound.

The unlaminated textured cover is rubbed around the edges and the corners, particularly on the spine.

Comes with the original EMI/HARVEST advertising sleeve, a little crumpled, but good to have.

Overall it’s a good playable copy with a few marks and a scuffed sleeve and I hope I’ve priced it accordingly.
