Meddle A7 / B6

This later pressing is in astounding condition for its age and has been hardly played.  The audio quality is of the highest standard possible as detailed below and the gatefold is also practically as new.

Visual grading

This vinyl under a strong bright light looks 'as new' and is visually stunning with a fantastic glossy sheen.  I could only detect one very faint hairline on S1 and there are certainly no scratches, it has been superbly well cared for down the years.  There is only the lightest of spindle wear so has only been lightly played.  The run out grooves are also beautifully clean.

Play grading  

S1 plays with stunning clarity throughout and rarely have I heard better.  'One Of These Days' has barely any static on the intro and you can hear every nuance.  This is true on every track, it plays with such definition you can hear every sound/instrument so clearly.  Yes it is a later pressing but these HTM pressings (Harry T. Moss the Mastering Engineer - HTM is etched in the run out grooves) are generally considered to be amongst the best in terms of high quality sound reproduction.  I cannot stress just how good the audio is here, it is exceptional.  The odd dust tick perhaps but this qualifies as Mint- such is the clarity and warmth of the recording.

The classic 'Echoes' from the first 'note' plays in exemplary style.  There is barely any lead in static and the track then plays with incredible precision.  It is absolutely stunning!  The levels are superb and the bass comes through so strongly.  Even the quiet 'whale section' plays with sublime audio and only the odd mega light dust tick.  This is very possibly the best HTM A7/B6 pressing I have ever heard and it certainly 'knocks spots' off the more recent reissues.

Cover

The lightly textured G & L cover is in exceptional condition for its age and almost grades as Mint such is the amazing quality.  The edges and spine are so clean and only a couple of the corners have the slightest amount of rubbing.  Many sellers would grade this as Mint!  The 'white' inside is in immaculate condition with no marking and the opening edge has no handling wear at all.  Wow!

The white EMI 'Important Notice' inner sleeve has no splits or tears just some light creasing.

The labels

The yellow/green Harvest labels have no writing/marking and barely any spindle wear.
