Record-EX This is a wonderfully preserved example of this album, it has a great shine and retains its gloss, there are some very light light inner sleeve marks noticed in strong light, there are a coupe of non feelable very small marks but on the whole this is a strong EX grade that is possibly better than I have graded. I have listened to extracts of the audio and it sounded fantastic there was some light background noise in places mainly noticed in quieter passages. The real test was the beginning of ''one of these days'' where there was some light background noise that was more noticeable but not too intrusive (but I suspect you will be hard pressed for this section to be silent even on a better copy) this was alos the case with the beginning of Echoes where there was a lightl background crackle noticed until the song kicks in with an occasional pop, there are no marks that are causing this and is possibly a little bit of static or some mild dustiness int he grooves. I suspect a good clean would sort this out and help no end it certainly wasnt to intrusive and again like the beginning of side 1 you would probably be hard pressed not to have anything like this present. The sound on the whole was sharp, clean, fantastic and clear with only the occasional light background pop and mild crackle. There was as mentioned and underlying light background noise lightly noticed throughout but only in quieter sections run ins and outs. There appears to be the slightest dishing to the central label that gives what appears to be a slight 1mm rise dish, this does not effect the playback and is barely noticeable some would miss this and or not mention it (This can sometimes be caused at manufacture, when records are removed from the platters when pressed, too soon without allowing the correct amount of cooling). This is seen occasionally and doesnt detract in any way. The audio certainly matches the visual grading for certain.

Sleeve-EX- This sleeve often does not keep well and I am pleased to say that this is a great example certainly approaching EX. There is some neat restoration noticed in places. The main point being a graze that has been neatly colour matched on the front cover (please see photograph of this area) this is neatly done indeed, some edge work noticed also but extremely neatly done. The front and back are lovely and clean with some light edge and corner wear noticed, there is some ring wear noticed on the reverse of the sleeve. There is some mild handling wear noticed on the opening edge. The spine has some rubbing and scuffs that does effect the legibility of the catalogue number and title. This is really the worst area of wear, the spine is slightly rolled with storage, some light edge and corner wear noticed. Despite the worn spine which by all accounts is not even that bad the rest of the sleeve presents wonderfully well. A very nice example indeed.
