Description

PINK FLOYD MEDDLE
This original later A7/B6 pressing is in overall wonderful condition and has the fully textured gatefold cover and the original EMI sleeve.  The record is pressed on heavy vinyl and has "HTM" etched in the run out grooves on both sides.  "HTM" stands for Harry T. Moss the famous engineer who cut the lacquer on this and so many other famous recordings.  UK pressings with "HTM" etched in the dead wax are considered to be superior UK pressings.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in stunning condition and to the naked eye is in great shape with only the faintest of hairlines.  In fact looking under a bright light it is clear this vinyl has been hardly played it looks that good.  It has no scratches at all and the faint hairlines I'm sure have only been caused by sleeve removal.  It retains a fantastic glossy sheen that "shines" with real quality!
Play grading
Side One plays with extremely clear audio with only the lightest of static here and there.  It really does have excellent audio.  'One Of These Days' begins with only a hint of lead in static and thereafter plays with wonderful clarity.  The remaining tracks play with the same quality, a fantastic listen.  There is barely any interference and plays as a quality vinyl should!  'Fearless' is a stunning listen in particular although that isn't to say the others aren't!  'Seamus' ends the side in exemplary fashion with almost zero crackle which is rare for a "final track" on a side.  With hardly any static between tracks this side would please any fan.
The iconic 'Echoes' begins with intermittent crackle for about 20 seconds but then plays with a depth of sound that is superb.  There is hardly any interference the audio is that good.  Apart from the beginning it plays as Near Mint such is the quality and has to be one of the best 'Echoes' I have heard and even the very quiet 'whale section' plays sublimely with only a couple of static sounds.  Having just listened to it in its entirety I cannot stress just how good this sounds!  The depth you get from vinyl is exemplified here and is a stunning listen.
If you don't want to pay an exorbitant price for a first press then this A7/B6 pressing is a wonderful alternative.
Gatefold cover
The original textured cover (inside and out) is in great condition for its age with only minimal handling wear.  It has very slight rubbing on the corners and a few light marks on the wide spine but apart from that it is in excellent shape and has stood the test of time superbly well.   The edges are very clean although the bottom edge of the back cover does have a little more shelf wear, nothing major though at all.   The inside of the gatefold is amazingly clean and is certainly one of the best I have seen.  The 'white nature' of it lends itself to deterioration down the years but not this one!  The opening edge is also extremely clean again showing that the vinyl has been sparingly played.  As stated this cover is textured inside and out.
Inner sleeve
This is the original EMI white "Care Of Your Record - Important Notice" and is in excellent condition with no splits, just some light creasing.
Labels
The yellow/green labels are in superb condition with no marks or writing, just absolute minimal spindle wear.
