Description

PINK FLOYD - MORE SOUNDTRACK LP - GENUINE FIRST PRESS!!

Up for auction is the obscure and rare first UK pressing of the soundtrack to the film More with Hipgnosis sleeve art, written and recorded by 'the' Pink Floyd. Complete with single box EMI logo on the label and green tinted couple facing west on the rear. Matrix numbers are YAX 3868-1G/YAX3869-1G pressed from the first mother stampers. The laminated front cover is in generally very good condition. There is a 1" split in the middle at the top of the sleeve otherwise all edges are intact with very little wear visible around all edges. A few creases and slight ring wear are also visible when angled in the light, the most noticeable being about 10mm near the spine. The rear of the flipback sleeve is in very good condition with all edges still intact. There is a little ring wear visible at the top right and a little area of paper about 10mm has rubbed away but is barely noticeable. The spine is still nice and straight with the title still perfectly visible. The vinyl is in very good condition, it still has a glossy sheen. When angled into the light a small number of fine hairlines are visible but there are no scratches that can be felt or anything that would noticeably impair the sound quality. There are also some very fine marks only visible when held under a bright light which look like they have occurred during storage and again do not affect the sound quality. The labels show some signs of play around the spindle hole but are in otherwise good condition. The original sepia inner sleeve advertising other EMI Albums is still intact, there is an area on one side of the flap that is partially unglued that should be easy to fix and a small tear about 10mm on one side at the top. Please take a look at my other auctions for more quality Prog, Psych and related items. All records will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve in brand new cruciform mailers with extra rigid card stiffeners.
