Pink Floyd - Meddle
(Harvest Records SHVL 795 UK LP 1971)
This is a 1971 UK 1st pressing LP in Excellent overall condition! It has a heavyweight fully textured gatefold sleeve. The sleeve is textured on the front & inner gatefold sleeve. The sleeve is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". It comes with its original generic polythene-lined "Harvest" company paper inner sleeve. This advertises other Harvest LP's available at the time.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl. The Harvest labels have "The Gramophone Co..." text around the upper perimeter. There is one boxed "EMI" logo on each label. The record has 1st press SHVL 795 A-1U and SHVL 795 B-1U matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax.m.
All the tracks on the labels have the "World Copyrights Ltd" publishing credit, except for the snippet of the track "You'll Never Walk Alone" on "Fearless" on Side 1. This has the "Williamson Musis Ltd, Chappell" publishing credit.
This is a genuine UK 1st pressing of this classic early 1970's UK Pink Floyd LP. It has the very earliest matrix numbers. The 1st UK pressing is also well known for having excellent sound reproduction.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is very minor wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or very mild hairline rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas.
There are a few bits of mild hairline rubbing wear of the spine face. There are a few pin-head, or pin-prick, sized bits of mild rubbing wear on the spine face on a few areas too. The spine text is fully readable with no noticeable wear. The inner part of the gatefold there is some age related light brown marks on the white background, please see photos. There is also a minor bit f waving to the inside of the sleeve near to the inside spine. Please see photos.
Vinyl: There is a light hairline (non audible) surface mark on Side 1. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The original inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor feint, or dull, surface marks on some areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, EXCELLENT condition. The Labels are in Excellent to Mint minus condition and show mild or very mild spindle wear only.
The original polythene-lined "Harvest" company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. It shows light, mild or very mild ringwear, age related light brown marks & creasing. There are no seam splits.
Excellent overall, and Excellent + in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
