First issue with single EMI box on label, first matrix numbers, Lupus music credit (no “Co Ltd”) on label . The G+L cover has a green tint on rear with the couple facing west and is dated “6907” in the bottom corner and “File under POPULAR” top right
The vinyl looks VG+, some light marks visible in strong light, play reveals some light surface noise in some of the quiet sections / gaps, a couple of ticks on track 1 and some softer ticks on Cymbeline. On side 2 there’s more noticeable background crackle on “Quicksilver” (one of the quiet tracks).
The sleeve is a VG+, no splits, tears or handwriting, fully legible spine, minor general wear with some light creasing in the laminate.
Overall a nice first issue for the collection and still a good listen with strong and bright audio throughout but not for the audiophile.
The disc has been cleaned in a Pro-Ject VCS cleaning machine and comes in a new lined inner sleeve. Original EMITEX company sleeve is included.
