Description
ARTIST : PINK FLOYD
TITLE : OBSCURED BY CLOUDS
(for track listing and other information, please see photos)
Cat No : SHSP 4020
Label : HARVEST
Issue : UK 1972 - STEREO
Matrix/Stamper codes: SHSP 4020 A-1 and SHSP 4020 B-1
Condition : Disc = Excellent / Sleeve = Very Good
Excellent condition disc. A few minor surface marks, light scratches, only one of which causes any sound deterioration (a few slight clicks at the end of Side 2 Track 3 - but nothing serious. ) Some spindle marks. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, scuffs or deep scratches to vinyl. Excellent sound quality generally, (except as previously noted), and very little surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
The sleeve is the rare original textured version, with the rounded corners. This is a very flimsy design and prone to wear. This example has some general wear, some spine wear (which obscures some of the text), and what appear to be coffee stains on the top left hand side of the front of the sleeve (see photos, which show this in detail..).
Supplied in original Harvest inner sleeve, which is in very good condition, but has some discolouration and ageing (see photos).
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
