Description
Obscured By Clouds A-2/B-2 second pressing
On offer here is a very early second pressing of this often under-rated LP. It is always overshadowed by what came next! I have never seen or heard a better A2/B2 pressing. It is practically as new it is that good.

Visual grading
This vinyl is in pristine condition and has been played perhaps just once or twice as you have to look closely to see any spindle wear. Under a bright light I could only detect one spindle line on each label. There are only a couple of faint hairlines on Side One but have no affect on the audio. It has such a fantastic glossy sheen you would think it was pressed yesterday. It is so rare to see a 44 year old record looking and sounding as good as this.
Play grading
The title track plays so close to Mint except for three clicks towards the end. There is no need to grade each track on this side as the quality is just outstanding and I have never heard better. It is so rare for such an early pressing to play like this. The clarity, depth and sound level is stunning and quite honestly the audio plays as new. There is more or less complete silence between every track and practically no static throughout the entire side. There are not enough superlatives to describe this audio it is that good and if it were not for the clicks on the first track the side would grade as Mint-. There is just a tiny amount of static on the final track 'Mudmen'.
There is no lead in static prior to 'Childhood's End' so again you know you're in for an audio treat! Suffice to say the quality is of the highest standard possible and beats plenty of new vinyl issued today. There is just one pop towards the end of 'Absolutely Curtains' and apart from that it plays as new. Absolutely stunning.
Cover
The G & L cover is in excellent condition and is extremely clean with no marking. There is a little rubbing on the edges, mainly along the bottom edge. The thin pinched spine is in excellent order and is 100% legible. A couple of corners have minor creases. Overall this cover has been very well looked after and only has minor shelf wear.
Inner sleeve
This includes the original plain white inner with Patent Nos 1125555 and Made In Great Britain printed in grey. It is in excellent condition with no splits, only minor creasing.
Labels
They are both in pristine, perfect condition with only one spindle line on each.
