Obscured By Clouds A - 2/ B - 2
Many of the A2/B2 pressings were issued at the same time as the A1/B1 matrices so are often considered as first pressings also.  This particular vinyl is in excellent condition and particularly Side One.

Visual grading
The vinyl is visually stunning and rarely have I seen better.  There is absolutely no spindle wear on S1 and looks unplayed.  There is only a minimal amount on S2, 4/5 lines.  It has a fantastic glossy sheen and is in remarkable condition for 45 years of age.  There are only a small number of faint hairlines no doubt caused by sleeve removal.  No scratches whatsoever, a stunning looking vinyl.
Play grading
There is barely any lead in static and the title track then plays with crystal clear audio.  It is so obvious this vinyl has been hardly played as the audio is just immaculate!  'When You're In' plays with what can only be described as Mint audio.  'Burning Bridges' plays with exceptional clarity but does have a very faint 'whooshing' sound on the first half due to a small area of clouding (no pun intended!) on the vinyl.  I also heard one click on this track.  The three remaining tracks play with a clarity, depth and sonic quality that you so rarely find on such an early pressing.  The audio is just incredible and plays as new.  There are no clicks or pops to be heard anywhere.  I am always impressed with the production values on this LP so when you find an original early pressing that is as clean and unplayed as this one the quality of the audio really stands out.  Apart from a little non-intrusive interference during 'Burning Bridges' the audio on this side is simply superb, the clarity is just stunning.
The quiet intro to 'Childhood's End' has some faint crackle but thereafter plays with great clarity.  'Free Four' is another fantastic listen and in all honesty sounds as new.  'Stay' does have a little crackle again but it is certainly not loud and is in the background.  The track still plays very clearly.  'Absolutely Curtains' again has a little intermittent crackle but despite that plays very well and with excellent clarity again.
Cover
The G & L textured cover is in excellent condition with only minor shelf wear.  The edges have a little rubbing although the thin pinched spine is in great shape and remains 100% legible.  The rounded edges at the top and bottom of the spine have just a little rubbing.  There is a little amount of creasing on the bottom of the cover near the right corner.  There is also a name written top right but is written very small and is hardly noticeable.  The back cover is in superb condition and has no marking whatsoever.  Being a very early pressing it has the rounded corners.
Inner sleeve 
This has the original plain white inner with the patent number and 'Made In Great Britain' printed on it.  It has no splits just some age related marking and light creasing.
Labels
They are in wonderful condition with no marks or writing.  There is no spindle wear on S1 and only a minimal amount on S2.
