I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's a beautiful copy of Pink Floyd's Obscured by the Clouds LP. This is the original UK pressing from 1972. The cover is in great shape with only one small bend to the front cover, but some small rubbing on the spine. Being a UK pressing, the covers are flimsier than US pressings, and it's always great when you find a cover like this from '72 with little to no wear. The Labels are beautiful Near Mint and with A1/B1 stampers which indicate the very first run. The Vinyl is somewhat difficult to grade. For the most part the LP plays Near Mint, but there are some small marks on the LP that have a minor effect on play. There are moments in the quieter areas where there is a low background sounds. In my opinion, this doesn't interfere too much at all with the play, where the music is way louder and crystal clear. There are no deep scratches or skips/jumps, etc.. This is a very clean and beautiful copy, and priced well because of a few light marks, and a touch of very low background sounds.. The UK, German, and Japanese pressings are like audiophile pressings compared to the US versions. I am giving the vinyl a grade of VG++ , but with my detailed description of the sound. Before Dark Side of the Moon was released, Floyd had been engaged to do some soundtracks for films. This was one of those soundtracks along with More. It was an incredible time for Floyd. While working for years perfecting DSOTM, they were more free, spontaneous, and raw in recording these LPs, which would also include Meddle, and More. This is a beauty.
