You are bidding on a rare, collectible and much sought-after original 1st stereo release of Pink Floyd’s “Piper at the Gates of Dawn”.

This is the hard-to-find second black/silver label press in a flip-back sleeve.

This item is a lovely example, has a low start price and no reserve - so a genuine opportunity for Floyd fans, collectors and completists to acquire a classic, collectable, and according to the Rare Record Price Guide, an increasingly valuable album!

ITEM CONDITION:

VINYL APPEARANCE: Excellent :  A really glossy, jet black disc that has lost none of its original lustre. In daylight it looks superb and flawless with a gleaming sheen to the surface. Angling the disc into stronger light reveals 2-3 light scratches on each side, but nothing deep or ugly and certainly nothing which affects the superb audio described below. (I grade according to the Rare Record Price Guide)

VINYL AUDIO: Near Mint I have played the album in its entirety and the audio is absolutely superb both sides! There are no clicks, jumps, skips or distortion. Best of all, none of the crackle you normally associate with an album of this age – not even in the quieter moments. On my system, simply superb stereo quality with every note heard just as it was intended on (I grade according to the Rare Record Price Guide)

SLEEVE: The album is housed in its original single laminated E J Day flip-back sleeve. There is wear to all four corners. Laminate is tight with a few creases. Spine intact with a rub on the spine lettering and ring wear on back cover. Considering the age of this item it has survived remarkably well. I have housed it in a plastic sleeve for added protection. (I grade according to the Rare Record Price Guide)

LABELS: The iconic Columbia labels are in excellent condition. The colours are rich and vibrant and remain un-rubbed. The typeface is perfectly legible. Light spindle wear.
