An Absolutely Outstanding Debut Album by possibly the greatest band ever to emerge from the sixties, the PINK FLOYD with the Legendary Syd Barrett at the helm who contributed so much to the making of this album, and who, unfortunately died earlier this month at the age of 60. A Legasy to the great Syd.
First Recorded at the Abbey Road Studios in 1967 and Released on August 5 at the height of the '67 "Summer of Love" this album reached No.6 in the Charts, and must be one of the greatest Psych Albums of all time, full of mind blowing psychadelic enthusiasm and lauching British Acid-Rock.
The record is in very good condition on the EMI Columbia Black and Silver issue label. Both labels are exceptionaly clean, , virtually no spindle marking, no wear to the centre hole.
The Vinyl is in very good condition and the Record plays very well. The surfaces of the record is very good, side 2 has some very light surface marks which show under very bright light, as you would expect, side 1 is excellent. Nice rich deep black high gloss vinyl and classic Stereo sound.
This is a superb example of Pink Floyd First Album and is already a collectors classic, an opportunity to get a good inexpensive vinyl copy.
The sleeve is in very good condition. The front cover is fully laminated and there is no laminate lifting. There are No tears, writing, unwanted stickers, marks from stickers or rips on the sleeve, or on the record labels. All the outer edges are totally intact and in excellent order with very little signs of edge wear with the exception of a 4" split to the very top right hand edge of the sleeve, the picture is not affected and the split is limited to the seam only. Some very slight signs of wear to the right hand corners only. The spine is absolutely rigid and the text on the spine is totally intact, the opening edges are sharp.The Sleeve is by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd.
