THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR A VERY RARE COPY OF THE FIRST LP BY PINK FLOYD. THE LP IS A EARLY PRESSING FROM 1967 IN THE UK ON COLUMBIA RECORDS IN STEREO CAT NO SCX 6157 WITH THE VERY EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS OF 1H ON SIDE 1 AND 1M ON SIDE 2.
THE VINYL HAS RETAINED AN EXCELLENT SHINE AND LOOKS GREAT. THERE ARE TWO SUPERFICIAL SCUFF MARKS ON SIDE 1 AND SOME SUPERFICIAL SLEEVE REMOVAL TYPE MARKS ON BOTH SIDES BUT NOTHING THAT AFFECTS PLAYBACK . OVERALL I WOULD GRADE THE VINYL AS BEING IN VISUALLY EXCELLENT CONDITION ON SIDE 2 AND VERY GOOD+ ON SIDE 1.
THE VINYL HAS THE MATRIX NUMBERS OF YAX 3419-1 ON SIDE 1AND YAX 3420-1 ON SIE 2.
I HAVE LISTENED TO THE LP AT GREAT VOLUME . IT SITS NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS AND JUMPS.
THE AUDIO IS VIBRANT THROUGHOUT. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE BUT THIS DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE SOUND WHICH I WOULD GRADE AS A STRONG EXCELLENT.
IT WAS A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO BUT PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS LP IS 47YEARS OLD.
THE ORIGINAL FLIPBACK E.J.DAY SLEEVE (WITH FILE UNDER POP) IS IN VERY GOOD + CONDITION. THERE IS SOME SLIGHT RINGWEAR [SEE PHOTO'S] AND SOME VERY LIGHT CREASING TO THE LAMINATE. THE SPINE LOOKS GREAT. OVERALL A VERY NICE EXAMPLE FOR AN LP THAT IS 47 YEARS OLD.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH A FEW SPINDLE MARKS.
THE LP COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL HARVEST INNER SLEEVE. THE LP WILL BE SENT IN A NEW INNER SLEEVE AND SEPERATED FROM THE SLEEVE.

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £4. The cost of postage in Europe is £10.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . I am willing to send worldwide and the cost will depend on where it is being sent.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
