Here for offer we have the ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING of Pink Floyd’s 1995 live album PULSE on EMI Records. I am the original owner of this set, having bought it 20 years ago at a record show still sealed. The box is still in the original shrink with the hype sticker, and is in strong VG+ condition due to some edge wear on the bottom corners. If not for that, the box would be NM. One of the nicest examples of this box that I’ve come across. The thick hardcover book is in like new condition, I don’t believe I’ve ever opened it in the 20 years I’ve owned it, and if I did it was maybe just once. No issues. The LP jackets are the only things that bring this set down. The records caused a split at the top of all 4 jackets as well as the inner sleeves (this most likely happened during shipping, they were this way when I first opened the set upon buying it), so I’m grading all the jackets and inner sleeves as VG. I will leave it to the buyer to repair the sleeve splits if they so choose. The splits are the only flaws the jackets and sleeves have. They have no ringwear, no tears or creases, all text is legible, colors are good and the spines are straight. The records themselves are all in NM condition apart from side 2 of record 1 which is VG+, due to a light mark going from the end of the second track on that side into the third one, however, I played that section to check it out and the mark doesn’t sound at all and does not affect play in any way. All records are clean and flat and sound great. This set was also an analog mastering, whereas the reissue isn’t. So if you want a really nice copy of the genuine article, this is it.
Here’s a chance to own the original edition of this box set at a great price.
