Brand-new, sealed 2018 LIMITED EDITION reissue of Pink Floyd's 1967 debut album THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN -- in its wonderful original MONO mix.
This is the limited edition 2018 Record Store Day issue, remastered from the original mono analog tapes in a gorgeous package, on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl. Longtime Pink Floyd artist Aubrey Powell designed this reissue with a reproduction of the original album cover wrapped in a newly-designed cardboard outer sleeve with a shiny golden silhouette of the band photo that is on the poster inside.
This psychedelic debut album by Pink Floyd was their sole album completed with original vocalist/guitarist Syd Barrett and features the early classic "Interstellar Overdrive". The mono version was named one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Hardcore Floyd fans overwhelmingly prefer this mono mix (versus the stereo mix) because it has less reverb, no gimmicky panning effects, and includes curious bits like a song-length Rick Wright organ part that isn't there in the stereo version
