I am currently auctioning off some my own personal collection of LP's that I have collected over many years. I will try to be as accurate as possible. Having said that, if you need any more information, please contact me. Oh and don't ask me to end the auction early.

PINK FLOYD The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, Stunning Rare 1st UK LP MONO version from August 1967. A1/B1 Matrix, YAX 3419-2 / 3420-1, all in Excellent condition.

GENERAL NOTES:
Front Cover: Laminated, flip-back sleeve design.

Back Cover: The top right part of the flip-back is blank. It does NOT read "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups". A cover containing this is a repress. Back cover includes title, credits, and song listing. Catalog number in upper right corner. Un-laminated.

Labels: Black Columbia labels with silver text, and a blue "Columbia Records Magic Notes Trademark" at the top, and a blue "Columbia" in the center. A specific font is used with the first pressing. Please compare with the photos on this release to confirm the correct label. Track 1 on Side 2, (including all writing credits), should read across one line only. If the artist credits extend to a second line, it is the repress.

Underneath the blue "Columbia" it reads "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists." On most copies, the Tax Code letters "K" and "T" are stamped on the label (on either on side 1 or 2) on each side of the spindle hole.
Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and reads;
"The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited"

Inner Sleeve: Cream colored inner sleeve. On the front is an EMI logo at the top center, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including Both Sides of Herman's Hermits, and "Remember-the new Emitex cleans and preserves your records," and "Patents applied for" at the bottom. On the back is an EMI logo at the top center, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including the Beatles-Revolver, and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) Hayes - Middlesex - England, Made and Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom.

Please read all the descriptions and terms carefully.

The heavy set vinyl is in overall excellent condition and is still retains it's bright & shiny looking surface. It is one of the best copies that I've ever seen, a real gem, especially for the rarer mono version of this album. The vinyl has a few light surface marks, certainly nothing feelable. I have played the record through in it's entirety and could only hear a few of the faintest crackles between and during some of the tracks, literally that was all. There is a few light ticks on the run in to side one and side two, which stops once the music starts. These initial clicks and static seem to have been present from manufacture as there are no mark's visible and I have had the exact same issue on another copy I used to own. Static is also a flaw with these early mono recordings. Having said all this it's a really well looked after record.

The labels are both in excellent condition, with only a few light spindle marks visible.

The original inner EMI advertising sleeve is all original and in excellent plus condition.

The original front laminated flip back cover, is overall in excellent condition. There is some very light creasing, mainly top left front corner and bottom left front corner, both minimal. There is a very small mark on the top front right hand side, again minimal and maybe a flaw from new. There is little to no edge wear and no spinal wear (the words are all perfectly legible). There are no splits, and no corner wear. The laminate still retains its shiny glossy look all over. There are certainly no rips or tears.  The opening edge is straight with no deterioration.

I only send LP's using insured postage. All LP's will be sent in a solid, professional card boxed packaging. The cost is £8.70 valid in the UK only. This is by Royal Mail Special Delivery and is fully insured.

If for any reason and in the unlikely event you are not happy with the LP, you may return it for a full refund, you must pay for return insured postage yourself. Unless I have made an error in listing, in which case I will refund the postage as well.
