PINK FLOYD Piper At The Gates Of Dawn 1967 1st PRESS MONO BLUE COLUMBIA SX 6157!
Super rare LP from 1967 by one of the most collectable bands going. Needs no introduction!
This is the first press mono UK LP on blue Columbia labels. The matrix numbers are XAX 3419 - 2 (A side) and XAX 3420 - 1 (B side) catalogue number is SX 6157
The labels have "Gramophone Co" + "sold in UK...." + "Made in GT Britain". The A side has raised lettering K and T in the very middle of the label near to the spindle hole.
The sleeve is flip back style and laminated on the front. It is printed by Ernest J Day & Co.
Record condition = -excellent. It has 1 noticeable mark on each side, that you might be able to see in the pictures. We have played both sides of the record where it has these marks and they do not affect play.
sleeve condition = excellent, but the bottom flip back has an old tape mark on it, as per the picture.
All things considered, this is a record that is 45 years old, and it is nice to find it in a condition as good as this. Most have either been lost to the mists of time, or played to destruction.
