Original 1967 FIRST PRESSING

COVER: VG+ ~Laminated front is extremely clean and stunningly vivid with no wear , soil or marks. Light crease in laminate. Flipback rear cover, with no wear or fade, has a 1/4" spot of soil near center right and a thin, even line of discoloration at flipback edges. Flipbacks otherwise are extremely bright and clean with tiny (1/16") clean tear at edge of bottom flipback. All edges straight without wear, all corners sharp. No splits.

VINYL: VG++ ~Thck, non-flexible vinyl carries most of original gloss. Extremely few, VERY light marks; mostly inconsequential sleeve scuff. LP plays SUPER bright and bold VG++ to NM throughout with almost no background noise, tics or distortion whatsoever. 1st PRESS Blue and Silver on Black COLUMBIA labels are excellent with no wear, fading or soil. Small spindle-marks are visible at very center when held at angle to light.

Original FIRST PRESS LAMINATED FLIPBACK SLEEVE with:

"THE GRAMMOPHONE CO LTD...." around rim on bottom 2/3 of label; "MADE IN Gt. BRITAIN" centered above that.

This 1st pressing is complete with the ORIGINAL EMI "Emitex"Photo INNER SLEEVE.

Stunningly bright, full and clean playback with ultra-quiet grooves and virtually no distortion.

These tracks, of course are the original mixes from the 1st masters with everything including the complete and clearly audible original lead-in to Astronomy Domine; and the original, superior UK track line-up wth 10 out of the 11 tracks written (or co-written) by Syd Barrett; with one Roger Waters composition.

An absolutely ESSENTIAL cornerstone (perhaps THE cornerstone) in British Psychedelic Rock.
This extremely rare first pressing on high grade vinyl has the best , fullest and most powerful reproduction of this music; the closest thing to being inside Syd's head.

That's probably just close enough.

The cleanest 1st STEREO PRESS of this LP you're likely to still find in this lifetime!

...with all due respects to MONO and the bright, bold, upfront mix it entails; this pressing has all of that -and it has Floyd's indescribably cool stereo seperation!!)
They BUILT this thing in stereo and it contains some of the strongest stereo effects and separation work ever put to vinyl.
