PINK FLOYD Piper At The Gates of Dawn 1967 1st UK PRESS
Catalogue: - SCX 6157
Details: - Here is Pink Floyd's classic psyche album from 1967 on the original UK 1st press black/blue Columbia label and in the original Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents pending' flip-back sleeve. 1st press matrix numbers YAX 3419-1 / YAX 3420 - 1. The inner sleeve is plain white.
Vinyl: - VG. Clean and shiny with some surface marks and scuffs. Fully test played. The sound is clear and strong but I noted that there is mild background surface noise in some of the very quite parts on side 1. This is mainly at the beginning and decreases as the music progresses. The effect on side 2 is so faint that I would say this plays near enough as an EX grade. No jumps or repeats during play.
Sleeve: - EX. Some creasing on the front laminate. Nice clean back and perfect spine. No rips, tears. Very small handwritten name on the back top left corner.
Labels: - Label 1 is VG as sticker removal has peeled a bit of top surface. Label 2 is EX
This record seldom comes up for sale and even less so in this condition. Dont miss your chance
