Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are all by visual examination and most by play-grading, strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have some of Floyds earliest work from 1968/69. "A saucerful of secrets" and a live double album "Live 69".
A saucerful of secrets:- Original UK very early pressing in mono of the bands second studio album. Has the blue/black Columbia labels. Mother/stamper combinations are 1M / 2GR, so very early. Cover is showing some wear. Creases to the laminate particularly to the opening edge. Still very clean with no shelf-wear and spine intact and fully readable. Cover grades VG. Inner sleeve is exceptionally clean and damage free. Grades Ex. Vinyl is really clean with no marks worthy of mention. The LP sounds pretty fantastic. The mono version was released before the stereo version and is more sought after by collectors. It plays great with only a couple of issues to note, which in the scheme of things are pretty minor on a 57 year old vinyl! Side one plays pretty much without issue. Very quiet. Detailed and powerful mono performance. How the band wanted it to sound. I really must grade side one as excellent audio performance. Side two has a couple of seconds of light surface noise right at the start. Track 3 has a spot of light static and track 4 has a tiny hint of crackle in quiet part. Overall this is a fantastic copy and the sound belies its age. Side one excellent (Ex), side two very good plus (VG+).
Live 69:- A live recording of much of the bands early work from 1967 to 1968. This double album is still sealed and mint.
So Pink Floyd at their early best. Some great material on these albums.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 48 hour delivery with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less!
I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus, Mexico or Ukraine. I will cancel any bids from these countries. Postage within the EU is around £17. Worldwide postage is around £27. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately.
