BLUE/BLACK Mono VINYL GOOD (No Jumps)
Very rare original UK 1st press MONO copy of THE PINK FLOYD'S fantastic 2nd LP,released in 1968 on the early 1st Press BLUE BLACK Columbia label.
The original Mono vinyl is in visually good condition,it has quite a lot of marks/lines and scuffs,it's well used but plays through very well indeed,there is crackle/pops and some distortion but being a Mono recording the surface noise does not intrude on the music that much and there are no jumps or skips and no sections of continuous loud clicks,i listened to both sides from beginning to end using a older used stylus and i still enjoyed what i heard,the noise was not that bad or loud enough to make me stop listening to this great album,the worst area is on the quiet organ passages on the title track and also a passage on 'Jugband Blues',still a fantastic 2nd Floyd that just sounds great in Mono even with some hiss crackle and pop.
LABELS EXCELLENT
Both Blue/Black MONO labels are excellent with barely any wear around the spindle hole,(please see the pictures provided).
FRONT LAMINATED GARROD & LOFTHOUSE TRI FLIPBACK SLEEVE VG
The front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse tri flipback MONO sleeve is in nice very good condition,it has no bad defects to point out at all,a few front lamination creases and a owners name in blue biro on the matt rear,this writing is very small indeed and easy to miss,all 3 flipbacks are still in great strong condition with just a few cracks and the spine is still great with one tiny area of wear and 2 or 3 tiny cracks,the last thing to mention is some very light ring wear back left,a very nice example of this MONO sleeve.
A pretty good playable original MONO copy of THE PINK FLOYD'S essential 2nd UK PSYCH LP.
