PINK FLOYD - THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (Harvest Records, SHVL 804, released in 1973) Matrix nos. A2 / B2 (first press). Gatefold sleeve.

A genuine first pressing of this legendary album, with a solid light blue triangle label, black inner, two posters and two stickers, in its original sleeve with only one side opening.
Note the sleeve is not just glued on the non opening side, it has a fold-in flap which is stuck down – beware replacement sleeves where the card is only glued together, these come from later pressings.
The vinyl is very good plus overall. Side one is very good plus condition, it plays very well with a little crackle at the start, prior to the music starting, and very occasional light surface noise. Side two is very good with a few very light and one noticeable surface marks, it plays well with some crackle at the very beginning, occasional light surface noise and some crackle on the run out.
The sleeve is in very good plus condition, with some light corner and edge wear, some visible wear on the front and some light but noticeable ring wear on the reverse. The inside of the gatefold is in excellent condition.
The black inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no creases, tears or splits.
The two posters are in excellent condition, they clearly have not been displayed, and the two stickers are both in mint condition.
This album in mint condition throughout is valued at £500 in the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide. Here’s a chance to obtain not a mint but a very nice copy of the album for your collection at a fraction of the given price.
