This album should not need explaining - clearly one of if not THE greatest album of its' time.
The group PINK FLOYD played it live from January 20th 1972, and refined the compositions over the next full year or more, to make a fulfilling and outstanding concept record that stayed on the top selling album charts for the following 14years!
An international success, and an inter-generational piece too, as it had such an undeniable appeal that our grandfathers knew it and maybe had a copy too!
This one offered comes from the early pressings, signified by text "THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD" at top lable rim, and "MADE IN GT. BRITAIN" at the lower area under the titles.
The cover too is from the earliest period.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is in VG+ to VG++ condition. The discernable marks in bright sunlight are light and not into the grooves - so mainly sleeve scuff not scratches, and pressure marks visible. Light 'dust' sound in quiet parts but then the music overrides this, and the production of course is wonderful - deep warm bass tones and great STEREO projection. Not a top copy, still a respectable playing early pressing.
Labels with the large blue pyramid first issue were virtually unreadable, so these modified versions here are clear to read! Also bright and clean, some wear at the spindle hole.
The DARK BLUEISH-BLACK GATEFOLD COVER is VG+, having handling wear, some scuff. This also has the telling glued left side, which was only done with earliest copies made.
No posters or stickers are included but those are not too hard to find as they are in all subsequent issues.
