Some general remarks: Here comes the real McCoy. The first pressing of this landmark multi-million seller. I own this title in nearly every pressing variation but the first UK pressing is incomparable.
The Vinyl: NEAR MINT***
The surfaces are clean and shiny. A few whispy hairlines when held into strong light. Playback is loud, strong and dynamic. No distortion at all even in the quietest parts. ***There is some static mild crackling at the very beginning of Track 1 (the "heartbeat") which soon descents. Otherwise this copy plays flawless all the way through. Even the most dynamic parts play without any distortion (which often is the case with other copies).
The Labels: EXCELLENT+
A few wispy spindle traces only and a tiny scuff at the top of the blue triangle on Side 2.
The original (slightly darker) Gatefold-Sleeve: EXCELLENT-
One of the hardest to preserve sleeves. It has mild edge and corner rubbing but no splits or creases.
Original (black) Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT
A small split (3 cm) towards the middle (from slipping it in and out of the sleeve) but no tear. Mild creasing. No seam splits. This is the very first original Inner Sleeve with rounded corners being open at the bottom (approx. 7-8 cm each side). This is no damage - it came like this!
2 Original Posters: EXCELLENT+
No splits or punch holes. Bright colors. Clean.
1 Original Postcard: NEAR MINT
No creases or splits, practically like new.
