THE FINAL CUT A-1U / B-2U
On offer here is a stunning first press of this often underrated LP. The gatefold has the original sticker and the vinyl remains in its original polylined black inner.
Visual grading
In pristine condition this vinyl has perhaps only been played once before. I could not detect any spindle wear or hairlines and it really is immaculate. The audio confirms this and plays with stunning Mint quality.
Play grading
'The Post War Dream' intro plays practically as Mint such is the quality. There is only a hint of the lightest of static and it plays beautifully across the whole track. I heard just one click but apart from that near perfection. The remainder of the side is quite simply stunning and I don't think I have heard better on a first pressing. The clarity and depth of sound is breathtaking and honestly plays 'as new' for 99% of the side! A bold statement but one I am confident in saying. There are so many quiet sections but there is practically zero static. 'One of the Few' and 'The Gunners Dream' are classic examples of this. What an amazing listen!
The audio quality continues on Side Two with no faults to speak of. Yes perhaps the odd dust tick but you get that with new vinyl. There is absolutely no need to describe each song as the audio is just immaculate throughout and there is complete silence between every track also. For 33 years old this vinyl plays with fantastic quality and is without doubt a genuine final upgrade copy. If any collector is after a Mint first pressing then this is the one to own. I cannot stress just how good this vinyl is. For fear of repeating myself it is definitely the best A1/B2 first press I have had the pleasure in listening to. I should grade it as Mint but will add a minus as it isn't sealed!
Cover
The gatefold remains in wonderful condition and looks barely handled. The edges and spine are in superb order, the bottom edge just has a couple of minor rub marks. The opening edge and inside of the gatefold are in perfect condition and you would be hard pressed to find a better gatefold than this, it has been so well looked after. As stated it still includes the original sticker.Original inner
The black polylined inner is in great condition with no splits or tears and barely any creasing.
