Description

Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, a very rare first U.K. STEREO pressing of The Pink Floyd – The Piper at the Gates of Dawn on the BLUE – Black Columbia label, cat. no. SCX 6157.

The record is in Good to Very Good condition. There are lots of hairlines and there is a sounding scratch on track 5 of side 1. The labels are in VG condition, there are some spindle marks and some slight wear to the print along the spindle hole.

The cover (with “File under” on the top flipback, made by Ernest J. Day) is in VG minus to VG condition, there is some moderate wear on the opening edge on both the front and back, some wear along the top seam and there is a (coffee) stain in the bottom right corner on the back.

This is an extremely rare 1st UK STEREO pressing of Pink Floyd’s debut album. This record is almost impossible to find as an original 1st pressing. Although not in mint condition, it is still very sought after by Pink Floyd and psychedelic fans. This copy would be ideal as a collection filler or just to have one until a better one comes along. Happy Bidding!
