Description

I will declare a lower amount on the customs form for all countries so as to avoid/decrease high import charges.  However, in the case of the EU all purchases are subject to VAT which eBay collect at point of sale. No shipping to Russia currently.
Pink Floyd : The Wall A2/B2/A1/B2 1st Press
Now this is a rare find for sure!  This first pressing is still largely enclosed within the original shrinkwrap so that the cover does not open and it has been very well preserved over the years.  This one, as can be seen, has the transparent sticker attached underneath the shrink.
As for the audio well it doesn't get much better than this!  The clarity, depth and power across all four sides is STUNNING and has barely any interference on S1, only a very minimal amount on S2 and none whatsoever on S3 and S4.  And when I say minimal I do mean minimal!  There is nothing that stands out as intrusive as such and the sonic quality across all four sides is exceptional in every way.  This is quite obviously a record that was purchased to be preserved in a collection and not be played that often.  It is easily one of the finest examples of any pressing that I have listened to and this is a first 2/2/1/2 press!
So yes as stated the cover (in shrinkwrap) remains in fantastic condition with only a small corner crease.  As per this first pressing it is cream coloured and the bricks on the front are not aligned at the bottom and the band members are not listed on the inside, I could just about peek inside!  
The original lyric inners (with rounded corners) are also in superb condition with no side splits or marking.

Visual grading
The vinyls are in lovely condition and still have a very impressive glossy sheen with no scratches.  There are only a small number of superficial sleeve removal hairlines and a few 'specks' on S3 and S4 that have no affect on the superb audio.  The run out grooves are very clean with just one very faint fade area on the S2 run off.  The labels are also super clean with no marking or writing and only minimal spindle wear.
Play grading
The very quiet intro on 'In The Flesh?' has a light static sound once per revolution but there are no ticks, clicks or pops.  It does not last long of course and then the first 'high octane' section is 'as new' as is the opening vocal.  The next powerful section has no interference - turn the volume up during the air-crash the playback is phenomenal, there is no distortion at all!  I'd say Ex very briefly at the start and then Mint for the remainder the clarity is stunning.
'The Thin Ice' plays with sublime clarity from the get go - the baby cry has never sounded clearer!  The first verse has only one mega light dust tick and the 'If you should go skating...' verse plays to perfection and it continues in the same exact way with a sublime Gilmour solo at the end.  Mint
'Another Brick In The Wall part 1' carries on this fine form and plays with impeccable clarity throughout.  The audio definition is also very impressive which can only mean this record has only been lightly played down the years.  The quiet instrumental second half plays so clearly I cannot find any negatives, the fade out has no 'background' either.  Another Mint track in my humble opinion.
The 'helicopter' intro on 'The Happiest Days Of Our Lives' is so powerful and 'clean' and the intro has no 'background' of any kind.  Waters' opening vocal is just as impressive and that applies to the rest of the track also.  Mint
The segue into 'Another Brick In The Wall part 2' is flawless and from then on plays with a clarity and warmth that is second to none.  This classic plays with sensational quality from start to finish - audio does not get any better than this!  There is not even a solitary dust tick to be heard and Mint is an easy grade to give.
For once the telephone intro on 'Mother' has no background and the first verse just has one very light tick and no other intrusion.  It continues to play with 'as new' audio, the clarity is exceptional.  Gilmour's solo more than keeps up the standard and the final vocal section is just as strong.  This truly has to be one of the finest examples of this classic that I have ever heard as the sonic quality is just unbelievably good throughout.  A beautiful Mint- version and the minus is only there because of the one very light tick near the beginning!

The 'birdsong/girl' intro on 'Goodbye Blue Sky' plays with great clarity and the acoustic section then has five ticks at the beginning.  The final two are just a little louder but they are not intrusive clicks in my opinion.  The second 'Oooooh' does have one click but throughout this section there is no underlying static and the music still plays very clearly.  The vocal then plays with no intrusion whatsoever.  The rest of the track is equally as good so I will grade the opening section as Ex- and the remainder as Mint
'Empty Spaces' plays with stunning precision throughout without any 'background', not one dust tick even, and Mint is richly deserved.    The vocal is of the same 'high end' standard and every section grades as Mint such is the quality.
'Young Lust' is of the same 'high end' standard with no interference and 'as new' sums it up well.  Mint
The segue into 'One Of My Turns' has no 'background' and the 'spoken' section is immaculate with no ticks, clicks etc.  Rarely does this section play as well as this and I detected just two very light ticks.  The first vocal is just as 'clean' and the powerful second half is stunning also.  A Mint- track.
The long quiet section on 'Don't Leave Me Now' is so often affected by sound issues but here the intro just has 3/4 static ticks at the beginning.  The rest of the section plays incredibly well and the vocal is very impressive.  There is nothing that that intrudes on the audio and the emotive end section is stunning.  An Ex+ intro and then Mint- from that point on.
'Another Brick In The Wall part 3' plays with great clarity and depth from start to finish with no interference.  Mint-
'Goodbye Cruel World' plays very clearly with no underlying static and I heard just one static tick just before the first vocal and a handful of mega light ticks just after which are not intrusive.  A Near Mint- end to the side.

The acoustic intro on 'Hey You' is fantastic!  There is not even a single dust tick and the opening vocal just has a couple of mega light ticks.  As Mason comes in the playback is stunning and it continues in the same precise way with no intrusion.  Gilmour's solo could not play any better and the final two verses also play with 'as new' clarity.  This truly is a sublime version and Mint- is very deserved.
The intro on 'Is There Anybody Out There?' is so close to perfect with only 2/3 very minor static ticks and the vocal has no 'background' whatsoever.  The acoustic section then plays with a clarity rarely found today.  It is beautiful!  With only a couple of barely audible dust ticks it could hardly play with any greater distinction.  A couple of light ticks after the actual track has finished but I believe Mint- is fair.
'Nobody Home' has just one light tick on the piano intro and the opening vocal has only a couple of dust ticks.  The clarity and definition of the audio is stunning and from then on there is no let up in quality.  A quiet track and yet the playback is nigh on perfect.  Even the final instrumental section that leads up to the 'bomb' plays with outstanding clarity.  Mint-
'Vera' has only a very small number of dust ticks.  I sometimes ask myself why do I feel the need to mention dust ticks - they are so quiet and all vinyls have them.  They are not ticks but dust ticks there is a difference.  So quiet and 100% non-intrusive.  I just prefer to be 'complete' with my grading.  Mint-
'Bring The Boys Back Home' plays with stunning precision from the percussive intro and then through the vocal.  The closing 'time to go' section' has no interference either.  Mint-
The classic 'Comfortably Numb' plays with pristine audio from the first note to the last.  The vocals are so clean and every section plays to perfection.  The iconic solo is a prime example of that, it is breathtaking.  For once there is no distortion and the power and definition of the audio is STUNNING.  Play it loud with the lights off!  A Mint version for sure.

The melodic intro on 'The Show Must Go On' is 'as new' and it continues to play with sublime quality for the remainder.  A Mint start to S4.
The 'high octane' intro on 'In The Flesh' plays to the same standard with literally no interference and the opening 'vocal' just has one very light tick, hardly worth a mention really.  The first verse is faultless as is the remainder of the track.  Mint-
'Run Like Hell' plays with great depth and power on the intro with only a couple of dust ticks and proceeds to play with a sonic quality that is second to none.  There is no sign of any interference and...Mint is again deserved.
The opening melodic vocal on 'Waiting For The Worms' plays perfectly and the first verse then has just 3/4 very light ticks which of course are not intrusive.  The 'waiting/megaphone' section is faultless and the rest of the track has no interference either.  The powerful end section has no distortion at all.  A highly impressive Mint- version.
The brief and very quiet 'Stop' plays beautifully and has to be graded as Mint it is that good.
'The Trial' plays with impeccable quality from start to finish with no interference.  The powerful end sequence has no distortion and the crashing 'Wall' has never sounded better!  Mint
'Outside The Wall' ends this classic album with wonderful clarity and for such a quiet track the audio is so clean and precise.  A small number of barely audible dust ticks but really you cannot fault the clarity.  For the final few grooves to play as clearly as this is a rarity and especially on a 2/2/1/2 first pressing - a stunning Mint- conclusion.
In summary it does not get a lot better than this!  This is genuinely a rare find - not only is the audio superb across all four sides with barely any interference but the cover is also still largely enclosed within the original shrinkwrap!  It is difficult to find a 2/2/1/2 first pressing these days let alone one that plays with sonic quality such as this.  The vast majority is 'as new' and the second record in particular is absolutely STUNNING!  S1 has only 5/6 seconds of minor 'background' on the first few grooves and S2 has only minimal interference on a couple of tracks and nothing that is overly intrusive.  The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio on this album is so impressive and it is obvious the vinyls have not been overplayed.  But honestly how often do you find a cover that has never been opened?!  A STUNNING album in every regard.
The Gatefold & Lyric Inners
This iconic cover is in superb condition and as stated is still largely encased within the original shrinkwrap with the original transparent sticker firmly attached underneath.  The 'shrink' surrounds both the front and bottom edge so that it is impossible to open the gatefold and I would say 95% if not more of the front cover is still enclosed.  The back cover is more like 70% I would say.  It has retained its original shape and structure incredibly well and has clearly not been handled very much.  The edges and wide spine are in perfect condition with no knocks or dings and in fact the only wear I can see is a small amount of creasing next to the bottom left corner on the front cover which is slightly larger on the reverse side.  The opening edges are pristine with no handling wear and obviously the cover has retained its original cream colour.  Just in case anyone was wondering I was just about able to peek at the 'inside' and could see no band member names were listed confirming it is a first/early press cover!  A STUNNING example and like I say very rare!
The lyric inners have been so well preserved and are practically 'as new'.  Only the first one has a small 'rub' on the bottom edge but it is not a split I hasten to add.

The records have been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
