So, after five decades of collecting vinyl and Hi-Fi, the time has finally come to downsize.  Over the next few months, with great reluctance, I will be gradually selling off my treasured collection of records, cds and hi-fi equipment.  It will take a while !!!
For instant sale is a superb condition copy of a first pressing of 'THE WALL' by PINK FLOYD.
Features that indicate that this is a first pressing include :
- Band members are not listed on the inside cover. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters. Except..." and "Produced By David Gilmour, Bob Ezrin, Roger Waters". Re-pressings added band member credits and had other minor alterations.

- No bar code on the back cover.

- The Wall is cream coloured, not true white. The bricks on the front cover are not aligned right to the bottom of the cover on the outside or inside.

- This 1st pressing sleeve variant is two sheets of cardboard, with seams at the top and bottom of the cover. Cardboard is heavy thickness.

- This 1st pressing lyric inner sleeve variant is that the sleeves are on thick card with rounded corners and a nine-inch thumb notch at the top and sides 2 and 4 have the catalogue number (SHDW 411), international catalogue number (OC-158 63410), and the UK catalogue number (SHSP 4111) in the lower right corner.
- Inner sleeves also feature the "Wall" design with lyrics (graphics by Gerald Scarfe).

- The track order on the inners is not the same as featured on the album.

- Three different catalogue numbers, one for the album and one for each disc:
SHDW 411 = album
OC-15863410 = inner sleeve 1
SHSP 4111 = disc 1
OC-15863411 = inner sleeve 2
SHSP 4112 = disc 2

The overall condition of both the sleeve and vinyl is at least excellent.  The records have hardly been played and the album would be a superb addition to any record collection.  The sleeve is in at least overall excellent condition with hardly any marks or wear at all.  However, the front opening edge has suffered a little bit of damage which you can see in photos 11 and 12 but this is the only blemish on what is an almost mint sleeve.  No writing or other marks.  The spine is sharp and clean.  The original inner sleeves are also in excellent condition except that both have a small piece of old sellotape attached which you can see in the photos.  I haven't tried to remove these but they should come off fairly easily.  Again, these are the only blemishes on what are almost mint inner sleeves.  Please study all the photos to see the condition for yourself.   The labels are in excellent condition with only a few 'spindle trails'.  The records are also in really excellent condition with just a few surface marks from the card inner sleeves.  They play superbly in high quality with only occasional surface noise/'crackle' between tracks or in quiet passages and the occasional 'clicks' or 'pops'.  Even with those minor faults, I honestly think you would be hard-pressed to find a better example of this incredible album. I am very open to sensible offers so please get in touch if you would like to make one.  The album will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey.  I will dispatch it in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by Special Delivery post so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible.  Although expensive, it does guarantee next-day delivery before 1pm and, most importantly, fully insures the record which is safer for you and for me.
