PINK FLOYD - THE WALL - LIVE RECORDING - "AND THE WALLS CAME DOWN" 3 LP Set - Perfect Condition!
Bootleg recording from the February 28th, 1980 Nassau Coliseum Pink Floyd concert. Believe it or not, I was there. What a great memory. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. All through the first half, the roadies (brickies) were building the wall. On the last note of the last song of the first half, "Goodbye Cruel World", the last piece of the brick wall went into place. When Part 2 started after the intermission, Floyd had the entire Nassau Coliseum audience staring at a blank wall as they (maybe) played behind it. Brilliant!! At the end of the show when the wall came down, the stage was literally covered with wall pieces. They had to end the show, no encores, there was no more stage. Again, Brilliant! What A Great show!!!!
When these recordings became available, I rushed to grab one. I had to get it through a friend who worked in the music industry. Seemed these were the only guys who new how to get to one.
The copy is mint, all three records are in perfect condition. Played all of once. The cover is also clean and perfect. I think I remember that I was the one who put on that red tape border. Just a precaution. This release was not up to (how shall I put this) industry standards. Besides, I think the red border looks pretty good.
We have to downsize due to an overseas move next month so many treasures must go. This is one of them. A unique item. A great recording of a great show. There just can't be too many of these around.
