Description

PINK FLOYD The Dark Side Of The Moon UK LP SHVL 804 1973 Matrix A3 B3

Very early UK pressing with A3 B3 Matrix in VG condition. Respectable copy which has obviously been played quite a lot but plays through without serious flaws.

Detailed Grading: -

Outer Sleeve: VG-

The gatefold  outer sleeve is graded VG- condition.  It shows a fairly significant amount of wear on the edges and corners with some minor creasing.  The front and rear covers are generally clean with little or no obvious ring wear, but some minor scuffs and nicks are visible. The inside of the gatefold is generally clean and the two original stickers have been stuck inside the sleeve, one on each side.

Vinyl: VG

The Vinyl is in VG condition. The record displays quite a lot of general surface hairlines and scuffs but all are relative light and not overly deep or unsightly.  On playback the record does play with a certain amount of background crackle but the music is bright and clear and the quality of the recording on these early copies really shines through.  Any surface noise is generally only audible in the quieter sections.

Matrix Numbers:

Side 1 SHVL 804 A-3     3     AOO

Side 2 SHVL 804 B-3    2 3   GRR

Labels: EX-

The Labels are in EX- condition –generally clean. When viewed under bright halogen light a number of spindle mark can be seen

Inner Sleeve:  VG+

Original (for this issue) white inner sleeve with MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN stamped.  Has folding lines visible but is generally clean with one small seam split to one outer edge.

Postage and Packing:

All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
