ORIGINAL UK EMI (7243 8 28984 1 2) FIRST PRESSING (March 30, 1994) OF PINK FLOYD'S FINAL LP "The Division Bell" - MUST BE ONE THE HARDEST TO FIND FLOYD LPs ON VINYL AS SO FEW WERE PRESSED (there are many later coloured vinyl re-presses (mostly fakes) but this is the original black vinyl UK release)

A (VERY) FEW ORIGINAL COPIES OF THIS LP HAVE PASSED THROUGH MY HANDS OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS ONLY THE THRID ONE I HAVE OFFERED FOR SALE AS THEY HAVE INVARIABLY ALL SOUNDED REALLY TERRIBLE WITH EXCESSIVE SURFACE NOISE, CRACKLE AND CLICKING AND EVEN THOUGH THIS COPY DOES DISPLAY SOME OF THESE PROBLEMS TO SOME EXTENT I STILL THINK IT IS WORTHY OF ATTENTION, NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF ITS RARITY BUT BECAUSE IT IS ACTUALLY ONE THE BETTER ONES I HAVE HEARD (see detailed assessment below)

THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL GLOSSY "WIDE SPINE" GATEFOLD SLEEVE "Printed in UK" AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLEEVE

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT and have NO wear, NO marks/writing and just a few light spindle traces on Side B, none on Side A
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are some light hairlines mostly caused by movement of the LP within its inner sleeve but overall, these have minor audio consequence (see detailed assessment below)
VINYL Audio: A usual the beautiful soundscapes PINK FLOYD create are incredibly impressive with an astonishing dynamic range from the almost silent ambient detail to the loudest crescendos. All frequencies are BRIGHT and CLEAR and the audio is BEAUTIFULLY RICH, WARM and VERY STRONG. The quiet instrumental first track,"Cluster One" plays with some surface noise/clicking throughout and there is also some surface noise between the tracks and on some of the other quiet sections - but apart from this the LP plays very well (play-graded at a loud volume) and I really do not think you will find an ORIGINAL UK first pressing which sounds that much better than this one
Difficult record to grade as this is a notoriously poorly pressed LP and even when brand new the audio was never what could be called MINT or even NEAR MINT so this copy is critically graded as VERY GOOD (Side One) / VERY GOOD (+) (Side Two)
Of course, the LP is fully guaranteed, so if you are unhappy with the quality of the audio (bearing in mind my description) a return/refund would be no problem, but in all honesty I don't think you will find a much better copy (as I am sure anyone who has bought a "MINT" described copy - and been disappointed - can testify)
SLEEVE: The original laminated, thick spine gatefold cover is NEAR MINT with minimal edge wear and CLEAN, UNMARKED surfaces. All text on the thick spine is SHARP and BOLD - SUPERB SLEEVE
INNER SLEEVE: The lyric inner is also in NEAR MINT condition with very little evidence of actually ever being handled. CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO splits. The LP is now housed - and will be posted in - a new inner to prevent any 'knifing' damage to the original during transit
